Much Better When Read Right After Book One
Delightful sequel to 'Her Father's Choice' that continues to take you seamlessly through the week-long stay of Mary Bennet with Lady Sophia Rycroft, Darcy's mother's other sister. She is supposed to return after her sister Jane's wedding to Mr Bingley. But the visit is also time for Lord Samuel Rycroft to find out that Mary is just the sort of honest, caring, and beautiful lady he desires as his bride. But does she want him? Like his cousin, Darcy, he insulted his lady love before even a proper introduction. And like her sister, Mary does not forgive easily. But he wends his way into her heart and gives her 'no other choice'.Great Story.

Middle Bennet sister finds love and acceptance for who she is
This was a delightful story about the middle Bennet sister that always seemed to be over looked or was forgotten. This was her story, her time to shine, and her very own HEA.I really liked how Brown created a parallel to the Darcy / Elizabeth love story. If you looked closely it followed the same pattern. There was the first impression and it was not good as Lord Rycroft tended to insult Mary at every turn. He had a reputation and had to overcome prejudice and pride. He had to earn her forgiveness, clear up his reputation, and earn her love. I adored his mother and how she knew her son and just what he needed in a wife in order to make him happy. She was a joy.Brown was a master storyteller as she wove a story that was a joy to read. It was also funny as Mary’s father and Darcy were always teasing about using the library if necessary in order to secure a match [reference to first book]. Everyone was totally accepting of Lord Rycroft. The younger Bennet sisters were still a little bit silly at first, but we get to see Kitty beginning to grow out of that. She saw that she needed to not act like Lydia if she wanted to secure a serious match. She also saw that she needed to help Mary as she struggled with her feelings and emotions. Elizabeth was already married, Jane was busy with her own wedding and Mary was simply lost and feeling alone. The usual cast of characters was present. One thing for sure…Caroline was a pill in the first book and she was a pill in this second book also. She had two friends with her that gave mean girls a run for their money. I am hoping by the end of this series she will be dealt with. Seriously, what is wrong with Bingley that he allows her to give everyone such grief and doesn’t do anything about it? I’ve looked at the reviews for the next book and see that she is still running amuck. I am headed that way next.

Choices Book 2...Mary's story and it is a good one. I've always loved Mary and wanted to see her do well in life.
I am enjoying this series (Choices). The novellas don't give a lot of time for situation development and that has its pros and cons. A lot of Mary and Rycroft's story happened in book 1 of the series and only needed the circumstances that led to their attachment to one another. How does Mary fall in love with a viscount who has the reputation of a rake. I love books that also develop good lives for the younger Bennet sisters. I want to believe that had Jane lived, she would have written more about the sisters and extended families. These short reads are perfect for busy schedules and they warm the heart. Anytime you need a bit of a pick me up, just do a quick read of these and on your go. Some day Lennie may want to take time to do as others have done and combine all the Choices novellas into one novel with expanded circumstances and characters. Jane's story left us wondering about Richard, Charlotte, Anne, Caroline and of course the other 3 Bennet sisters.Thank you Lennie for giving us these sweet stories of the characters we love. I enjoy thinking outside of the box with these wonderful characters.

No other Choice: A Pride and Prejudice Novella.........
Second novel in the Choice Series involves Mary Bennet and Darcy's cousin, Lord Rycroft. I have a certain place in my heart or Mary Bennet. Since she was often forgotten in the family being the middle child sandwiched between Lizzy & Jane and then Lydia and Kitty, she took to reading. She had sense but no one paid attention to her. When Lord Rycroft's mother decided to host Mary for a season, she was thrown in the path of Lord Rycraft due to his mother's insight. Lady Sophia thought they would make a good pair and indeed they did.It is another story of love, compromise and sweet. She did keep him in line and he enjoyed it not letting her know it!.

Never thought of this
I enjoyed reading about Mary and Rycroft. In this book Mary is depicted with same idioms, but is also wiser and thinks through issues. Rycroft is Darcy's cousin who happens to be an earl. I enjoyed the closeness of Darcy and his relatives. The camaraderie in the books is great. I enjoyed how Mary and Rycroft worked out their problems and came together

A nice read
Overall, i enjoyed this book, though not quite as much as the first in the series. Like the first, this is a chaste, sweet story with a little bit of angst, but very low, which is what i like. There were some errors...in one part the wrong character name was used; Brownlow was used when it should have been Blackmore. I had to go back a few pages to make sure I didn't misunderstand that, but it was only for a handful of pages and it certainly didn't detract from my enjoyment of the book.I really like Mary in this story and it felt like a treat as she is rarely the main character.

Thank you
I have read the series "Choices". I returned to give this particular book a rating. Mary and Rycroft's story begs to be continued. I enjoyed them so much, I actually looked forward to their references later in the series. I hope once our author gets a chance, she will find a way to tell more of their story. I think this is one of the best series I have ever read.

Short but sweet...
Novella #2 in the 'Choices' series - This is Mary's story.Another short but sweet story. Mary Bennet has met Lord Rycroft at Elizabeth's wedding. He is a cousin of Mr. Darcy in this variation. Knowing how first impressions have been known to hinder a relationship, Mary overhears a conversation between Darcy, Elizabeth and Lord Rycroft that she feels insulted by. As Mary is invited by Lord Rycroft's mother, Lady Sophia, to London for the Season they are thrown together constantly.I enjoyed the story, the new characters and Georgiana in this version. My only quibble is that Mary is not as prudish or pedantic as she is in Pride and Prejudice. This Mary is softer around the edges and more wiser than I would have expected. There were alot of Elizabeth's characteristics about her as well. It was a nice quick read when one has minimal time.I forgot to mention in the first review that the first 3 novellas are on sale right now as the 4th one is coming out on the 27th of May.

Love this story - The continuing story of the Bennet daughters tells of Mary Bennet. As she is invited to London for a season by Lady Sophie Rycroft. Can Mary find happiness among the ton or does she become the source of gossip. My favourite of the seriesThoroughly enjoyed this story, and so very easy to read.

Only What Is Due to Her
Mary, the forgotten sister, sandwiched between Elizabeth and Kitty, learns to critic less and trust more. The groom-to-be is an interesting character and seems to have been always there in the shadows of Pemberley etc. Not polluted but enhanced.
