In a Japanese Garden

Found a copy at a local library sale, for free! Loved it so much bought one as a Christmas present for a friend!!

I am rarely disappointed with my Amazon orders, but this time I am. In order of Nov 19, 2013 I received my two copies of the book IN A JAPANESE GARDEN as published. I decided to order four more Dec 9, 2013 for gifts and when they arrived they had no dust covers - one of the nicest parts of the book. Additionally the books in the second order cost $9.25/ea and the first were $8.96/ea. Can anything be done to rectify this? Is it possible to get new books with dust covers? Should I return these?Many thanks,Ken Dardenne

This is a lovely, simple book of meditation with woodblock illustrations that are the perfect accompaniment to the calming text. I have given many to friends and they have all been grateful once they read the book. Be warned, though, the beautiful cover that's pictured in the description is not currently included with the book--some problem with the publisher. The cover itself is very nice, but I prefer it with the dust jacket.

In A Japanese Garden is a beautiful little book. There is a beautiful woodcut on each page, and a bit of charming philosophy to go with each woodcut. I have found it helpful sustaining, and have given it as a gift to many friends. Marjorie Miller

I bought this book as a gift for a friend who likes gardens and is very spiritual-minded. It is the kind of book that is calming to read. The illustrations alone are worth the price, and the poetic text is lovely, serene, and inspiring.

Very calming. The words are simple and the pictures clear and beautiful. I look at it when I'm troubled. It calms me and helps me gather my thoughts. I love it.

Unique book and makes a perfect gift for the right person. A favourite.
