KOMESICHI Irodori Tenugui Japanese Hand Towel Shark Pattern Normal Type

Since these were coming from Japan I took a risk, bought a few different patterns all at the same time, and hoped I would like them. I am so glad I did - I am very happy with my purchase!I bought these with the intention of having more interesting (not formal) napkins or, more specifically, to replace a lot of the paper towels I use at work. Normally when I wash my hands at home I have a towel to dry my hands, but at work we just have paper towels and I was using an obscene amount of them. After I bought these, I haven't had to use 90% of the paper towels I used previously and they have held up well thus far (I bought the non fraying type) and dry pretty fast even though I have it folded near the sink rather than hanging.

Great for travel or just avoiding using the paper towels that dry out your hands in bathrooms around the US.

I bought these to use as hand towels to provide contrast with solid-colored bath towels. They brighten the room and look wonderful. These wash up nicely and do not fray.

I do love Tenugui and carry them with me as a "dew rag" during the hot and humid New England summers. I keep one tied to my purse so it's easily accessible and use it to dry my hands rather than use the fecal spewing air dryers in public restrooms. They are absorbent and dry quickly. These have a hemmed edge but I also have ones that are not hemmed. It took two months to receive these from Japan!

色もの以外は　気になりませんが、藍色の濃い色の染料落ちがひどく汗を拭いたワイシャツの首まわりなどに染料がつきます。濃い色は　実用向きではないと感じました。要注意が必要です。その他の、白系は　問題ありませんし　数回洗濯したら生地の肌触りもいいと思います。

富士山柄のほつれ防止加工が売り切れだったので、加工なしを購入しました。そのまま使ってると端からほつれてくるので下記の加工をしました。　１.タイル、枠等の目地補修用シリコンシーラント（クリア）とプラスチック板の刷毛を用意　２.これを（新聞の上等で）手ぬぐいの端から５〜１０mm位に薄く、両面に塗る（片側でも可）　３.シリコンが固まるまでハンガーにかけて１〜２日乾かす糸が出た所はハサミでカットしてください。以上でほつれ防止加工の出来上がりです。

日本手拭いの良さを再確認しています。汗かきなので、頭から滴る汗止めを探していて、ハチマキにしようとこちらに行き着きました。さすがの綿100%の平織り、頭に巻く時は薄いので縛りやすいし、一度縛れば解けないし、ずり落ちないし、汗をしっかり吸ってくれます。すぐにびしょびょになりますが、洗っても乾きが早いです。柄がたくさんあるのも楽しいです。季節ごとに数種類欲しくなります。すでに10枚くらいかったかなぁ(^^) もっと欲しいです。
