This works well and makes it much easier to lift heavier items. The straps also seem well made and make it much easier to provide a secure lifting point for objects. Note that the version I got only has 65 feet of rope, so that is only sufficient to lift an item about 8 feet since that 65 feet of rope is looped around the lift 8 times. Also, make sure you mount it high enough, because the pulley system takes up about an additional foot. So if you mount it 9 feet in the air, the highest you can lift an item is about 8 feet. Also not that the fairly small size of the hooks and the width of the lifting straps means that it is hard to get more than two of the loops onto (and back off of) the hook. I also noticed that it gets considerably more difficult to lift an object once you get over about 150 pounds. This may be partially because of the extra stain that is being put on the bearings as the weight gets higher, making them harder to turn. I also have a little concern about the durability of the rope if you use this a lot and it rubs against anything, since I've only used mine a few times and their are already slight frays in it. In my initial testing, this did indeed make it much easier to lift two 40 pound bags of salt with little effort. In theory it only takes about 10 pounds of force to lift the 80 pound load. I also tested it by lifting about 160 pounds by having a person sitting in a chair that I strapped up and hooked. This seemed to take more that 20 pounds of pulling, possibly due the the strain on the pulleys as mentioned above. I still was able to do this, but I would think the upper limit of what you could practically lift with this 1/4 inch rope might be a few hundred pounds. I got this mainly to use to lift my 77 pound weatherproof TV into place on an outdoor wall mount on my pool house It did work fairly well for that purpose, although I had a little trouble lifting it quite high enough. That was really just my fault because of not correctly accounting for the length of the pulley system and any additional height of the strap loops above the TV. I also needed to find a way to strap the TV so it would not tilt forward or backward while I was lifting it. Overall, this works well, but I wouldn't expect to lift 2000 pounds or use it on a day to day basis.

Works fine - rope not long enough for my attic - remember fully extended rope length will be 1/4 of actual rope.

Its works just remember to use gloves when lowering the heavy item if not that rope will burn ur hand lol

Great. Makes handling 100+ lb load a piece of cake. Just don't let the ropes get tangled, or you end up totally re-stringing it. It's like a Rubic's Cube if the ropes become tangled.

This works fine for my single purpose and 200lb load needs.... don't believe the advertised lifing capability. I'd trust this for maybe 400lb. Build quality is what you'd expect for a $20ish block-n-tackle. is Rope is horrible and contributes to the issue with twisting. Go with a real block-n-tackle unit if you need serious/safe lifting capability.

This is great. I used it to be able to hoist up a platform for my golf simulator. The pulleys are quite light but seem to be strong enough to hold a load. I have had it for about 4 months and its been great.

i bought this item some time ago and was just recently able to use it. Worked like a champ. I used it to help me lift up a small roof truss.

Works as expected, excellent value for the price.

Is as described it won’ pickup the four tonne but it will do the odd jobs i need I hookup rear end jd ride on mower just to try no problem it will be used parcel arrived earlier than expected good service good driver thanks

I bought this pulley to lift a set of rims and tires 2m to a tire rack that I had installed a few years ago. With a previous vehicle the set was smaller and lighter. A anchor set in the ceiling allowed the hoist to make light work of lifting and storing my winter wheels. I feel this was a good purchase and well worth the price.

The rope stretches under load . Otherwise not bad for what I need it for.
