This pan is not only cute, but it is high quality. As to be expected with any Lodge cast iron skillets it is heavy, but the smaller size makes it manageable. Besides, who doesn’t love Dolly!

Beautiful. Decorative but also functional. Can cook with it or wap someone over the head with it. Heavy duty. Granddaughters name is Jolene and she loves Dolly. This was a Christmas gift and she adores it!

This Lodge cast iron skillet is beautifully made and has the solid, durable quality you’d expect from the brand. The pre-seasoning worked well right out of the box, and it heats evenly for cooking. I do love the stamped Dolly Parton design—it’s a nice touch and makes it feel a little special. That said, the 8-inch size was smaller than I expected, so it’s best suited for single servings or smaller meals. Overall, it’s a great skillet with excellent performance, just be sure to check the size before purchasing.

This is special. I bought it as a gift and my cousin loved it, I loved it. I will probably buy one for myself eventually. I recommend and would definitely buy again. I love Dolly and these pans are so special. In fact if I had room I would get her whole set. Also the 8 inch pan is small but really a great size, especially for things like corn type breads.

The finish is rough, but that doesn’t matter, if it’s seasoned correctly it doesn’t stick. It’s heavy, making it an unacceptable choice for juggling. For cooking, the weight is IRON, this make it heat more evenly. “It’s too heavy for cooking!” Maybe for backpacking, where “every ounce counts!” But in my kitchen? Not at all! It's usually empty when I put it on the stove, and empty when I take it off. When I got it, I washed it really good with soap to be sure it was clean and ready to season. I put it in the oven at 350F for 30 minutes. Took it out, wiped it down while hot with lard, all surfaces. Then, “wipe the oil off” with a cloth or paper towel. THEN, I put the skillet back in the oven with a 1/4 cup of lard in it, while I mix the cornbread batter. Once the cornbread batter is mixed, I pour the hot lard into the batter, mix the lard into the batter, and pour the batter into the hot skillet. When done, the cornbread just turns out of this skillet beautifully! It’s an excellent cornbread skillet!😃 Now it’s ready for a Christmas present for my daughter Joleen! (Named after the song, deliberately spelled differently.)
