This is a rare bit in that it doesn't need any work to touch it up before use. The central spike is actually sharp and well defined. The carbide flutes are also sharp and they have no errors that I can see. Even the side spikes are done well. Usually I need to take a diamond file to fix the center point, but not on this bit.The shaft is strong and well machined. The entire bit is well protected inside its own little case.Will update further after use, but I think it will cut just fine.

I like carbide forstner bits because with carbide they cut fast and without burning. They also stay sharp longer. I have some other carbide forstner bits and I was disappointed that they made a rougher hole than my all steel bits. This carbide forstner bit cuts as clean a hole as my all steel bits. I'm impressed and really pleased. It's a great bit!The one pictured that I tested is the 32mm bit.
