Excellent Product, Easy and Simple to use, Would Recommend to Everyone!
This product turned out great! It was everything we expected and more. We purchased 50 sq ft to cover a half wall in my daughter's nursery. We were able to get the wood on the wall in one day (8 to 10 hours). I was pregnant during the project and neither my husband or I are carpenters by any means. But this was very simple to apply. I think the most time consuming part was choosing which pieces to use and where to use them. We used a miter saw to trim down the edge pieces to fit our wall. This was simple and the pieces cut great. The adhesive on the back of the wood was easy to peel and has held up great. We finished the wall in early January and all the pieces are still attached with no issues. We attached the pieces to new wall paint after following the directions on the wood. The paint is an eggshell finish and the pieces do not have any trouble sticking. My favorite part of the wood is how different each piece is. We essentially purchased 5 10 sq ft palettes. That is how they come in 10 sq foot bunches. Each bunch was different. You can tell this is real reclaimed barn wood. This is not manufactured. We did not receive 5 bunches with the same identical pieces in them. The pieces are similar enough to have a cohesive look, but all the pieces are different and have their own unique qualities. This was an awesome way to add a lot of love to our little girl's room. Simple and Easy Do It Yourself for any level of ability. I am so happy with the way our nursery turned out!

Amazing product + how I installed it
I loved this product so much, I wanted to write a review. I just installed it yesterday on a 7 x 5 drywalled chimney wall. The product is nicely made- lots of colors that go together and that distressed look that I love. I got the product but sat on it for a week simply because I wanted to understand how to lay the colors down. I don't think just grabbing a random board and sticking it to the wall and repeating the process till you are done is the best way to go about it. Lots of the colors go together, but I feel colors go together better if you plan it. What I mean by that is I laid them out on the floor as I wanted them on the wall. I had a big pile of grey boards and a big pile of brown boards and put them together on the floor before I did it on the wall- that way, I can control certain accent points on the wall- if a section is more grey, I can accent it by a rare brown, or if a section is predominately brown, I had use a really vibrant grey to make that area pop. Lots of the youtube videos I watched on how to install seemed like they were just grabbing random boards- I wanted a really awesome wall, so I did it my way and very glad I did. I love how it turned out. Also, since my area was 7 feet tall and 5 feet wide, I cut the longest boards to give more of a staggered look. I think the longest boards are 4.2feet and I felt that would look strange on a 5foot area- very glad I cut them up. I used a mider saw and it was flawless. I read some reviews on Amazon that the tape didn't hold up-not sure if it was true or not, but I didnt want the nightmare of boards falling off down the line, so I bought some Liquid Nails Project ($1.47 at Home Depot- it took 2 of them) and added that in between the tape on the back of the boards. I checked the strength of the glue this morning and those boards are solidly in place. Its amazing what this product does to a room- adds a whole new element to the room in that really modern/artsy. I couldn't be happier.

Beautiful but not staying on the wall.
UPDATE 5/23/2017: We tried using the new tape on several test boards that had fallen completely off the wall and within 48 hours, they're peeling off the wall... again, the tape is sticking permanently to the wall, but not to the boards themselves. Reached out to company again for thoughts. UPDATE 5/4/2017: Planks are starting to peel off from wall. Upon closer examination, the double-sided adhesive is sticking fine to the wall, but detaching from the planks. Company acknowledged problem with tape and kindly sent large rolls of "improved tape". PROS: Light and thin so can be applied anywhere, extremely easy to cut with box cutter or hand miter saw (no power tools really needed), beautiful mix of planks, packed safely so no defects. Easy to install (once you peel the backing from the strips). CONS: Adhesive backing impossible to peel by hand requiring a blade to separate the strips from the backing. Also, in my three packs, very few brown/dk brown pieces.

AMAZING!!!
This was one of the easiest and best looking projects I have ever done! I have absolutely no clue how people say these do not stick. With out knowing youโd swear they were nailed or maybe glued on. I followed the instructions and let them get acclimated to the space for about 2 days. I cleaned my wall with a damp cloth and itโs been about 2 months since we painted. Each piece seemed to be pretty straight but I trimmed just about every piece with my cordless table saw to ensure all cuts were the same and that the tape went all the way to the edge which some of them did not, youโll see what Iโm talking about. I didnโt use a tape measure just a pen and a lot of back and forth. The result was perfection!!! According to the recommendations of the vendor for the space I needed to fill I was told I needed 90 sq ft, which seemed like a lot. My measurements were more like just under 60. I went with two 40 sq ft boxes and ended up using just over 1 box. It did help that I didnโt cover the space behind my TV. Nevertheless my measurements were pretty accurate (LxH). The benefit of having too much though I was able to select from all the various colors and textures which was great. I have more than enough for another project which I donโt mind being how easy and great everything turned out. So anyone considering taking this project on...DO IT!!!

Looks great for a headache
Purchased a ton of this product to create a feature wall in our office. Install was pretty straightforward and easy enough, our staff was able to get it done in a few hours while the clinic was closed. Went smoothly until it came time to cut the wood. Since the wood is thin it can be cut by hand using a utility knife, however it is almost impossible to cut through the adhesive without use of a power tool. A few of the pieces with a lot of grain broke. Once applied to the wall (or the floor if you've dropped it) it is difficult to remove and reapply so make sure it is straight/level before applying pressure to adhere the plank to the wall. Now that the stick wood is up it looks great. The different sized planks give it nice variations and since we bought multiple boxes there's a good mix in color/tones. * The biggest downside to this product is that it seems to be having a hard time staying stuck to the wall with it's adhesive alone. The office is pretty climate controlled so we don't think it's a fluctuation in temperature that's causing boards to fall off the wall but nevertheless every day we have to climb a ladder and restick a board that has fallen. It is quite embarrassing/scary when this happens while clients are in the office. Once a board falls it tends to fall repeatedly so we believe that the air dries out the adhesive so it becomes less sticky and keeps falling. Over all there's a few warped boards that can't seem to lie flat as time goes on and others that just lift off the wall ever so slightly in the corners. We purchased this product to avoid putting a ton of nails in the walls so it is a real disappointment to us that we will have to add finishing nails to keep the wood in place.

Super easy and economical way to dress up a space
This reclaimed wood was the perfect product to help me make over a friend's entertainment nook. Much more affordable than faux stone, which was our first idea. The product is light and easy to work with. The adhesive back is very sticky, so be careful with your placement because once it's in place you can't adjust it. It did NOT (as mentioned in the promo material) cut easily with a utility knife, and because of the varied grain patterns, some pieces were harder than others to cut. I quickly gave up on the hand saw and miter box, and instead opted to use my oscillating dremel tool to make the cuts. A chop saw would have been better, but I was working away from home without my usual tools. One caveat is you should definitely order more than you need because some of the more brittle pieces can split while being cut. Also I found there was just enough color variety (grays, reds, browns) for my little project, but all the left over pieces tended to be gray (as you would expect with weathered wood). Overall my friend was thrilled with the result. It turned a hodge-podge dumpy space into an elegant feature that anchors the room.

FANTASTIC PRODUCT AND EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I ordered 40 square feet to create a headboard wall behind a guest bed. It was easy to cut and install. The effect is dramatic and gives the guest room a perfect focal point. But what brings me back to write this review is the excellent customer service. In a time when customer service seems to be a four letter word for many companies, I found Plank and Mill to be extraordinary in their attention to the customer. I wrote several times to inquire about installation tips, and ultimately found several pieces that had unstained areas, something that does come with salvaged reclaimed barn wood, but that I found difficult to incorporate into my design. Plank and Mill not only replaced these boards with new ones, but sent them quickly to allow me to complete the job within my time frame. They were friendly and prompt in their response and provided an excellent solution to my problem. I can't recommend them enough, not only for an absolutely beautiful product, but because they are an ethical company. A shout-out to Cassie - thanks for everything :)

Great, but...
Ok. I've looked into a number of different products like this and am very pleased with the way these look. They are fairly easy to install, but here are some suggestions: 1. Make absolutely sure of your placement before sticking these to the wall. You cannot remove them without damage to the board and the wall. 2. Use power tools. I used a miter box and hand saw for the majority of cuts, and it was a pain. The wood will split, and some pieces are very hard wood. 3. The installation video shows to start in the middle of the wall. Fine, but be sure to measure the width of the boards and mark your level line on the wall at the correct height for the boards to stack evenly from the bottom or top of the wall. Otherwise, you'll end up having to cut boards length wise for the correct fit. Overall, I'm pleased with the look and the ease of installation. I installed below my breakfast bar and an adjacent wall myself in basically an afternoon. Honestly, one of the most difficult parts of installation is peeling the stupid backing off of the mounting strips. Ugh. There has to be a better way...

Incredible
Very clean cut planks and simple installation with the peal adhesive strips. It made a great accent wall in our small powder room.
