Good controller, but limited functions
I had to buy this for my attic whole house fan as the old wifi capable control switch no longer was able to connect to my LAN. The app was no longer supported and the new app would not connect to the switch. This product was very easy to install. The nice thing about it is that it does not need to connect to the LAN. It is independent, however, this means you need the controller that comes with it. This is fine, except, you are limited to the settings on that controller. So if you only want 30 minutes of run time, you have to shut it off manually as the minimum run time is 1 hour, then 2 then 3 etc. The controller should have more preprogrammed options. Otherwise, the range is more than acceptable as my ouse is 2 stories high and I can easily turn the fan on or off.

A Must Have Upgrade over the Previous Remote Control System for my whole house fan.
A Must Have Upgrade over the Previous Remote Control System for my whole house fan. Installation was simple. I did it myself. The system is working flawlessly. The new remote is a 100% upgrade over the old remote. I appreciate the LED light indicators on the new remote.

Hard wired was impractical for my needs, so I tried this and it has worked great so far.
I'd always pick a hardwired setup (no worries about battery life, signal interference, longevity, etc.). But that was impractical for my situation and this has worked great for about a year. It's nice to have the on/off, timer, and speed control all in a one gang space. No regrets so far.

Works but outdated tech.
I ourchased this in order to control our whole house fan. We originaly had a normal wall switch and thought thisvwould be more convenient. For the hefty price you get one controller. If you have a two story home you have to decide where to mount the damn thing. We mounted it downstairs and it works. But if your asleep and want to turn it off you have to go back down stairs turn it off then run back up. But don't worry for another $60 to can get a second remote. Oh and their "smart version" doesn't work via wifi. It's Bluetooth! Sobfi walk beyond 30 feet. Your "Smart App" is absolutely useless.

The switch is fine. Having control is great.
How were you turning your fan on before having this switch? Plugging the wire hanging from your attic into an outlet in your bathroom like a weirdo, like I was? Installed this control on my fan, installed an outlet in the attic, and now I have multiple speeds and no wire hanging out of my ceiling. Luxury!

Cannot control with Alexa
After some investigation, it is difficult to get this fan to work with home automation. I thought I could use a Broadlink RF remote that interfaces with alexa, but you cannot control a QuietCool fan with a Broadlink device because QuietCool uses a proprietary radio frequency (RF) protocol with rolling codes, which Broadlink does not support. Broadlink RM Pro devices can only learn and send fixed-code RF signals. So I'm stuck with physically pressing buttons on the remote which I have decided to use as a handheld instead of mounting it to the wall...first world problems...
