I order the Bark & Whiskers Detox Support on a regular basis. I trust the company (Mercola) to provide quality products. Pros: 1. Our pets are exposed to environmental toxins each and every day. Humans are also exposed, but our 4 legged family members are closer to the ground, so they get it all. 2. This supplement helps their liver and kidneys to detox toxins from the body. 3. It's very easy to use-Just measure how much your dog/cat weighs, and follow the instructions on the back of the bottle, and mix it with their food. It also has no smell, so she doesn't taste it. I don't know about results, but her liver and kidney functions are always great. The value for the money is great (around $29), and I feel good about giving it to her. Cons: 1. The scoop that's included is very tiny, and you have to dig around in the powder to find it. My fix for this is a small piece of duck tape wrapped around the handle to extend the handle, and then you don't have to dig through the powder. Overall, it's a great supplement for your 4 legged family members. Hope this helps!!

This stuff works. When my dog was 9 he had some elevated kidney levels show up on his bloodwork. He did have very dark urine all of his life. My vet said he was probably going to develop kidney disease and there was nothing I could do. Just monitor and if it gets to that point, they have medicine they will put him on. I did my own research and started him on this product, then changed his diet from dry kibble to a dehydrated formula (kind where you add water to it) so he would get more water intake. Then I switched my vet, and his next bloodwork showed normal range and he never had elevated kidney levels again. He lived until 16 and passed away from something completely different having to do with the nerves in his spine/old age. I should add, my new vet also stated checking titters instead of continuing to vaccinate due to his bloodwork and age. I don’t think he ever needed another vaccine from 9-16, due to prolonged immunity. So that also lessened the burden on his kidneys and liver.

Our boy is a healthy senior dog. We want to keep him that way with appropriate supplements. This was recommended by a holistic vet to help protect his kidneys.

I obviously don’t know if this is working or not but I know for myself detoxing is essential with all the chemicals put in rugs, future and detergents. I try and stay vigilant with fake fragrances and chemicals in foods that may hurt my babies and shorten their life span or quality of life.
