Do the job
I bought these to fix my Mum's Dorma, the cladding on the side had come loose and I only had tacks which the heads were not big enough. so the cladding would come loose again. These have done the job perfectly, and the heads are bog enough to stop the cladding from coming loose again.

Perfect for my requirements
Used to pin plastic fence post caps to the top of new fence posts. Hold the cap securely and the head fits in the recess in the cap perfectly. My fence posts were new. If you were to use on older posts that have been subjected to weather and damp then you might need something more substantial but the real answer is to cap your posts when you erect the fence. Perfect for my needs and will buy again.
