This is one of the best gadgets for my car that I have had in a long time because it offers me the possibility to have access to different apps, including navigation without using my phone. My car has an older system and does not allow me to have access to gPS and I used to use my phone on a daily basis so I decided to try a carplay screen instead. This 9 inch HD screen is big enough to clearly see everything but it's not too bulky to take too much of my dashboard or destroy my attention. It works fine with both of my phones as I use for work one phone and for my personal another one and it connects wirelessly easily so I don't have to deal with cables every time I get in the car. The actual screen has a very good response rate because it has a large two gb of RAM and 32 gb of storage. One of the things which I like the best is the GPS navigation as it works when it has signal and also when it's offline which is very helpful when I'm driving in areas that do not have internet coverage. I downloaded directly on the device different apps so I can listen to music and my favorite podcasts. When I have to wait in the car, I can even use Netflix to watch movies directly on the screen. The actual setup was quite simple and one advantage is that this device is portable so I can move it between cars easier. This has definitely improved the way I drive as it provides reliable navigation and offers many entertainment options during my long hours of drive so I do definitely recommend it.

Couldn't display correct time unable to do so in settings started beeping when going over slight bump.

CARPURIDE W901 Plus is an aftermarket touchscreen tablet that enables you to connect your phone via Android Auto, Apple Carplay or Mirror Link. It is an Android device which has its own apps and platform but requires an active internet connection to work and function. I have been able to test the Android Auto and the Mirror Link and they're able to connect and work well. There's also a 32GB storage, which is not impressive but it functions as more for apps and system data than anything else. They do have a microSD card slot though. This in it's own right is impressive, as there are several systems at play here, however the base platform has a few issues, specifically with it's sound quality and volume control. When you tap on settings it makes a a loud beep which fortunately can be muted, however the built in speaker is nothing to brag about, it serves more of a basic feature that gives you the function than good quality sound. This is where you can see some of the limitations and finding come into the design, such as the physical power button at the back of the unit, which operates well but feels a bit lackluster and unpolished. Fortunately this is just at the back of the unit. There are also several mounting options, the unit comes with two options which both work well. The 9 inch screen is large and bright, as an IPS panel you get good colours and is also a touch screen. Here I feel it they went for a mat screen this will look less premium, as most screens nowadays are made from glass, especially from the car manufacturers. There are options on the device to change its brightness. For an aftermarket device, where you want more convenient features without spending a fortune, or wanting a portable navigation device that uses Android Auto or Apple Carplay, then this makes sense and would be a sensible and affordable choice.

So far it struggles to automatically connect via Bluetooth for CarPlay, and whenever I try to send a text via Siri it picks up the last three words Siri says (for example “Say to John, yes I would like to visit some time”, rather than “Yes, I would like to visit some time”…), otherwise seems to do a job. Not really worth the money in some ways.

Slow touch screen speed. 3.5mm reverse camera port only can find reverse cameras with 2.5mm jack so they will not fit. Overall disappointing. I would not buy again.

My car is old and only has a head unit, so this has been an amazing upgrade. While not as neat an install as a built in screen, I think it looks great attached to the included articulated arm which I fixed to a flat section of my center console. It functions well and is nice and responsive, if a little slow on the initial boot up. Overall its a great bit of kit and I am very pleased with it so far. The screen is an IPS panel, so has good viewing angles and is vibrant with good contrast. My only slight complaint about the screen is that it is reflective and would have benefited from a matte screen, but its not a big issue. Its great for watching movies and will be great for keeping the kids happy in the back. The tablet functions like an android tablet, with access to apps from the app store and voice commands using google. You can hook it up to your phone to extend the functionality and play music/use the phones internet and GPS. It has 32gb built in storage, but there is an SD card slot to extend the capacity and also a USB slot so you can also put content onto a thumb drive, which is very handy. I also really like that you can use a rear view camera with it, which will be the next thing I add to my setup. Overall I am very pleased with this tablet and think its a great bit of kit for the price.

I got this to use in my Citroen C4 Cactus as my head unity is not apple play and to be honest i was not prepared to pay £450 to replace it i wanted a simple solution that would not break bank This arrived in the box shown, on removing your meet with a very lightweight unit two mounting options, window or fitted on dashboard, I opted for second. Installing tuck seconds im not joking cleaned surface placed on the sticky pad stuck it down it was done, plugged in usb c cable into the car then into the unit i installed the aux from unit into mine which is hidden inside glove box. Powered up unit and booted up with the first display. Connected phone via bluetooth to the unit and it started apple play. It looks no difference from my wife’s built in CarPlay. In the unit CarPlay is settings for you to change back ground you can also turn of read out loud texts. You can use bluetooth or aux for sound both sound amazing, i have been using it for a week now without any issues and i have to say love it. For me the ability to take it out car and not leave it on display is perfect. Based on my first use its perfect happy yo recommend

Slow and unresponsive. It is also incredibly bright at night and won't stay at a lower setting, blinding you unexpectedly. The AndroidAuto connect is sporadic and can take a long time to connect if you share the care with anyone else. I would not recommend this product to anyone and find it hazardous and not suitable.

Bluetooth disconnects sometimes, for an unknown reason. Also doesn’t always automatically connect, when you get in the car. Other than that, it’s great. Great sound. Nice screen.

Great tablet and would buy it again! Here’s my overall review. Screen Responsiveness 7/10 Display Quality and Brightness 9/10 CarPlay Connectivity 8/10 CarPlay Total Startup Time 20-40 seconds Tablet Audio 6/10 FM Transmitter Quality 3/10 (Limited channel range, static, and noticeable delay) Recommended use for older vehicles. Get a second FM transmitter adapter, connect your phone to the tablet, and then change your audio mode to bluetooth, it will the allow you to connect to your second transmitter. Now you have CarPlay, and FM audio with no delay.

Will not stay connected to Bluetooth on my phone. Have to reboot and setup connection each time I use the car. Once connected it will randomly drop connection for no reason. Horrible product support and no option to return

Not at all like a real car-infotainment, but ok if you don`t want to mess with your original car-stereo
