It looks heavy, but it is very light. It swirls around and one has to use force for it to drift down into the cork.

I have never liked this type of wine opener as I find they destroy the cork. I use the old fashion ones. But my wife hates the old fashion one I use so I ordered her this. It works great, and the screw part is more like a deck screw that the standard sprint type that most use. It goes into the cock easy and does not make a mess of the cork. Wife loves it.

Not well made
Plastic ring that holds onto the bottle separates from the opener every time and is hard to get off of the bottle and replace onto the opener. But it gets the job done for now.
