Fascinating!
I've already loaned this book to 6 friends. Everyone says the exact same thing: An incredibly fascinating read! Well written, well researched, well organized and informative as well as entertaining, this is seriously one of my favorite non-fiction books :) Highly recommend it to anyone!

... interesting take on the subject but not quite as good as Supernature
Very interesting take on the subject but not quite as good as Supernature. I did find all the typos rather irritating though. I gave up sending them through for review as there were so many.

original and thought provoking
The book fascinates without being dogmatic on how the world works. It touches many aspects and makes sure the reader sees the whole picture with an open mind; leaving the ultimate choice on how to proceed to the reader himself.

Lyall Watson's prose style delights
Lyall Watson has long been a favorite author of mine. This was one of his books that I had not read and I must say it is a real treat to be reading him once more. His prose style delights and his insightful mind is a pleasure to watch in action.

Sometimes a bit "out there", but the ususal great work from Watson
Lyall Watson's books combine scientific reasoning with "new age" reasoning. I love his writing, and this is another example of his ability to blend the scientific and the sentimental.

Heart of Darkness
I have not read the book yet, give me a chance. Great author, though. So the chances of my being disappointed is zero. Nature is sadistic, so read this book all you fluffy Disney types. This book is a page turner, for me, maybe not for you. Watson’s contention after describing what a truly egregious lot we are, other animals especially included, is that, we humans can choose to be good. Maybe. In reality, this beautiful blue diamond floating through space, is an abomination. On the other hand, to use value free judgement, it is what it is. We can, though, have a jolly good time, and be more honest about our selves, knowing we are savage with a veneer of goodness and culture. So that is nice...

Lyall is king
Lyall looks at the unlookable once again. Shame to the scientific community, who define the scope of what is worth looking at and discard anything not citing within their mechanistic belief system. A study of evil? Only a few scientists would have a go. Most scientists don’t have courage, intelligent though they may be. And if Lyall is wrong, so what? At least he showed the courage of the spirit of enquiry.Great read, a little boring in places, but faces stuff others won’t.

It is the best analysis of the problem of evil I have read
I first read this book 5+ years ago, but as I had borrowed it from a friend, didn't have it whenever I wanted to re-read it. It is the best analysis of the problem of evil I have read, and I haighly recommend it and Watson's "Supernature" as well.
