I bought this item in November 2019 and one of the handles has just snapped off. What do I do please

That is not good at all. I am 100% sure there is a guarantee but not certain of the time scale, think it is 5 or 10 years so I would definitely get in touch with either Sabatier or Amazon for a replacement 👍🏻

Does this come in a gift box?

From memory it was in a nice box , but not gift box . however you could request gift wrapping as you check the item out . Its a nice set , good solid and sharp knives

Do these come with a warranty?

I can't swear by it but believe they come with a 25 year guarantee

Are the scissors supposed to come apart?

Yes, it makes cleaning (and sharpening) them easier. They just slot back together on the notch.
