These are great kids shoes with plenty of room for toe-splay and acceptably flexible soles. There is a little bit of padding for comfort inside, but no unnecessary stuff like arch support. The velcro and construction seems to be good quality, not cheap. By all accounts these look sturdy and I hope will have good longevity (I'll update this review later if we run into any problems but so far so good). The best thing is that they are half the price of kids shoes from bigger barefoot brands, making them accessible to the average family. Sizing seems to be essentially accurate, though maybe a smidge short on insole length. I sized up my oldest who has been consistently wearing a big kid size 3 into a 4 and that left some comfortable growing room. The size 3 was a little close on the toes for them. My 2nd child is only a 1/4" behind in foot length and should hopefully be good in a 3 for the rest of the year and I think a 4 would have been too big in their case. I have no hesitation buying the next size up when we do need it. Width-wise, the shoes are a good average-wide width. My oldest has much narrower feet than my 2nd child and slips around in wide shoes but is able to wear these without feeling loose or encumbered thanks to the double velcro straps. If I could suggest an improvement, it would be to offer more colorways. I ended up buying the navy for both children (a boy and a girl) and let them personalize with paint pens to differentiate.

They are super lightweight and they fit great. Easy to slip on and off. My son has never gotten any blisters when getting a new pair. He loves these shoes breathable material especially when running around. These shoes have helped my son with his balance before I found these shoes my son was always tripping and falling. They have a really great grip. These are my continuous purchases for my kids. I’ve been buying them since he was 4 when I initially found them and he is now 6 and has gone through so many pairs and I will continue to purchase them because of how much my son loves it. He now starts to ask for different colored ones. I recommend these shoes to everyone I’ve even given my nephew a pair that my son outgrew to fast and he loves them. The quality of the shoe is great the Velcro has lasted a long time and hasn’t come apart I’ve run into different brands that sell the same kind of shoe but the Velcro is always the first this go to and my son has put these shoes through the ringer so these are a must have.

These shoes have been excellent for our son. The wide toe box allows the feet to splay naturally, and the lightweight design makes them easy to move in without feeling restricted. They’re comfortable, flexible, and work well for everyday wear. A solid option for growing feet! Also super easy to clean when he gets them muddy.

We love Whitin in our house and these shoes were great for my child. Comfortable and breathable and easy to put on. He slips more in other shoes than he does in these ones and when you look at the bottom of the shoe it's clear why! The grip is a lot stronger on these ones. I love that they're not a heavy shoe. Only complaint is the velcro straps. They're exceptionally long? It's to where we tighten the shoe and there is like 2-3 inches of extra strap just dangling off the top of the shoe. It doesn't get in his way or cause problems but it does flap around a bit. Also the Velcro on the straps is coming off - probably something I could sew back together but that seems to be a bit of a quality issue. Pics are of the loose Velcro and how long the straps are!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Let me tell you something: toddler foot health is not talked about enough. Little feet are still developing. Their bones are soft and forming, and cramming them into narrow, stiff shoes can actually mess with their natural growth. That’s why I’m obsessed with these. My daughter has a wide foot, and I refuse to squeeze her toes into something that’s just “cute.” These shoes actually conform to her feet instead of the other way around, like they’re made for real kids, not doll feet. We’ve gone through two sizes and three pairs (we still use 2 of the pairs, these shoes had up amazingly), and I still reach for them every single day. They’re soft, comfortable, and the Velcro means she can put them on all by herself, which she loves. If they ever stop making them in her size, I’ll cry. And if they made an adult version? I’d buy them in a heartbeat. If your kid has wide feet or you just care about supporting their natural development, skip the trendy stuff and go with these. You’ll never look back.

On our third pair because as my kid grows out of them I buy the next size. They’re nice and wide for her feet, light and flexible and not too slippery on wet surfaces. The Velcro wears out a bit but holds up better than other toddler shoes. My kid is 2 and can easily get these on and off by herself.
