Easy To Set Up, Works Great
Works as advertised: simple to operate and easy to set up. I've not tried all the options, as my reason for purchasing it was just one: to up-convert SD video to a finicky computer video card. This adapter worked in every configuration I tried EXCEPT to the video card, which just showed a blank input. Obviously it's not this device's fault, so while my search continues for a solution (I'll likely just have to dump brand-new video card and get something else), I'm giving this device high ratings. It works.

USELESS IN MOST OF CHINA: Can't receive/process signal from Chinese-style PAL coax cable through CVBS port.
This item was promised to solve PAL/SECAM/NTSC convertibility problems everywhere and anywhere on the globe. I purchased it with the intention of using it to convert Chinese PAL cable TV signal to NTSC for viewing on my US-bought NTSC Samsung TV. Cable TV signal was delivered through style of coax cable widely used in Hong Kong and southern China, and most places in the Chinese mainland. I purchased a PAL female-to-RCA male adapter (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00UBYPQGI/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_1) to enable me to plug in the Chinese-style coax connector into the CVBS input port on the converter. Discovered that the CVBS port is unable to receive signal from Chinese-style coax, even with the RCA adapter installed. As there is no cable available to split Chinese PAL coax into three-pronged RCA (red-white-yellow), this device proved useless to me.

Perfect.
Works just as described. I plugged my US plasma television into this box on one side and the Israeli cable company (Hot) into the otherside from their DVR box. From no picture to clear picture. Perfect.

Very Functional NTSC - PAL converter
This device did a perfect job of video conversion. It has connectors for the most common inputs. Worked right out of the box.
