Popular at my house.
Glad to see these on the market for wellness reasons. Good flavor and crispy chips. I found them rather salty, but I also prefer low or no-salt items overall. In small amounts, they are just fine. Price is a downside, but the lack of bad ingredients is a huge plus for my crew. Will buy again.

Rancid aftertaste
They had a nice crunch, but not a lot of flavour except for the aftertaste which was awful. It tasted rancid. Maybe it was just a bad batch, but I'm not ordering more to find out.

Clean, flavorful, and crisp
I was really curious to try these chips after hearing about the simple ingredients and tallow cooking method. I’ll admit, I was a little hesitant at first because I saw some mixed reviews mentioning stale chips, but I’m happy to say that wasn’t my experience at all. The bags I received were fresh, nicely sealed, and the chips were super crisp! The flavor is rich and savory thanks to the beef tallow - it gives the chips a more satisfying, almost hearty taste compared to regular seed oil chips. They’re thicker than a Lay’s chip, but not quite as thick as Ruffles, and have a really enjoyable crunch. If you’re looking for a cleaner snack with no weird oils or additives, these are worth trying.

Definitely not worth the money.
I'll save you some money... Get yourself some beef tallow (available from Amazon and elsewhere). Get some thin cardboard (heavy duty index cards would work). A little bit of sea salt (or regular table salt- no one will know the difference.) Melt the beef tallow in a large skillet (cast iron is a good choice). Immerse cardboard in heated tallow and allow to soak 15-20 minutes. Remove from skillet, blot with paper towel until most of the tallow is gone. Sprinkle with salt and serve. If you follow these directions you will have something that is comparable with these chips, but cost a whole lot less.

Delicious & Gut-Friendly – A Game Changer!
I’m so glad I found these chips! The Vandy Crisps are absolutely delicious—crispy, savory, and perfectly salted. But the real win? They’re made with grass-fed beef tallow and no vegetable or seed oils, which means no stomach issues like I usually get from conventional chips. As someone who’s sensitive to a lot of processed oils, it’s a relief to find a chip that uses clean, high-quality ingredients and still delivers amazing flavor. Bonus points for being gluten free too! If you’re looking for a healthier chip option that doesn’t compromise on taste or crunch, give these a try—you won’t regret it!

Taste delicious, but...
They taste great, actually! The thickness and crunch were also a bonus. And I miss beef tallow in our foods. Remember when things from McDonald's actually tasted good? It was because of beef tallow. But these chips were very pricey and were mostly crumbs when I opened the two bags.

Very poor quality!
I agree with the bad reviews. In the first bag there were a mix of slightly overcooked and less cooked chips I didn't mind the variety and I do like a good dark chip now and then. My complaint was that the potatos used were not fresh tasting and had a rather meally texture that was caused by the heaviness of the lard used to cook them together with the thichness of the chips which resulted in the chips being oversaturated with the lard which at room temperature becomes too dense. Chips need to be crisp, light and the potatos have to have a fresh flavor! The price makes it a total deal breaker. I will not reorder!

Absolutely superb potato chips. Ignore the naysayers.
I have been consuming a major brand of potato chips for some time. Recently, I have become aware that seed oils commonly used in consumable products may be injurious to one's health. It has been stated that they contain Omega 6 fatty acids which some studies suggest can contribute to inflammation and may worsen symptoms in inflammatory conditions like arthritis. The product I had been consuming contains a combination of canola oil, soybean oil, and sunflower oil. One reviewer stated that the Vandy potato chips tasted "greasy." I did not find this to be the case whatsoever. Another stated that the bag had broken pieces of chips inside so they threw it out, are you kidding me? What a soft generation of people. I appreciate the fact that the Vandy chips only use 3 ingredients. I found them to be uniquely and wonderfully flavorful and I will be ordering more.
