These are so completely wonderful. I wish I'd know about them sooner because my softer pencils have been getting lead all over the inside of my pencil cases for years. This is the perfect elegant solution at a great price. Just keep in mind that if your pencil is new this will make your pencil longer and your pencil might not fit inside your pencil case with this cover on. I solved that by putting a pencil that I'd already used in my pencil case with this cap on it and it fits in my case very well. The material and colors are great. I will definitely be buying more to give as gifts because they are that nifty.

When I say it's a secret gem, I'm not speaking specifically of this particular model or manufacture, but rather, this type of thing is something I wish I'd had when I was in grade school, but didn't learn about until well after university.They have two primary uses. The main use is a point protector. This is useful whether you have your pencil in a box, your pocket, or a loop on your apron. You can sharpen a pencil, put the cap on it, put it in your pocket, go for a walk, and when you're done, your pencil is still just as sharp as when you put the cap on. It's not only quite convenient, but it will prolong the life of your pencils.The second use is a little more subtle. If you put it on the back of your pencil, it becomes a small pencil extender, so not only does this help your pencil last longer, but it allows you to use more of it comfortably.And, they're inexpensive so if you lose one, it doesn't hurt to replace it.

I have tried many different things to keep the tips of my pencils from breaking, or stabbing me. I got a little confused with these at first and they seem to fall off very easily. But then I realized that you're supposed to squeeze them at the little notch so they are tighter. I have now bought a second set because for some reason I love wooden pencils and have tons of them all over my house.

The fit is ok for a regular pencil but didn't really accommodate some drawing pencils I had long points on. Unfortunately these arrived damaged, I was able to use 4 of them but 2 were too squashed to use. I don't think this is the manufacturers fault but the packaging does not provide any protection from amazon throwing them loose in a box with something heavy, as they do.

I mostly like these. They do slip off my pencils at times or come loose, but I keep them in a pencil bag, so it is fine. I like having caps because they keep the pencil vag or my purse cleaner from pencil marks.

Works OK, they have a slit at the bottom which helps with adjusting to pencil size.

Perfectly designed and made, reasonably priced and cute. Of course. They are Japanese made. They still care about quality of things they manufacture.

These are great. I’ve read some reviews saying they won’t fit normal pencils, that they slip off. Well that’s half true. These were originally made for Japanese pencils which are slightly thicker than our standard number 2 pencils. But I actually use them for my #2 pencils. I just carefully press the opening with my fingers to close the small slit it has without actually bending the metal. Just a light press makes the opening small enough to fit a normal pencil. I’ll definitely buy more if needed.
