There is no way that this is leather. I’ve never felt leather with this stiffness and texture. The only way to test this is to cut it open.Functionally, it works okay. It is very stiff and doesn’t slide great on the belt so sometimes it keeps the belt from retracting into the car. I’ve shut my seatbelt into the door quite a few times. The good thing about it not moving around is that it stays in place so you’re not having to adjust it when putting the seatbelt on.I would not recommend this. I simply cannot believe that this is leather. I’ve had several of these and this is probably the worst one I’ve had.

I've installed these for a woman who has just had some surgery on her left side near her shoulder. She was complaining that her seat belt was rubbing too hard. These pads are easy to install with their hook and loop fastener. They say they are made out of leather. They are padded but it's not like a pillow. The woman using them says they work okay. She can put the padded part near her wound and the belt will slip inside the padding as she moves, causing her less discomfort. The one thing I have noticed is the the belt doesn't always retract. The new pad sometimes causes the belt to get stuck while it's trying to retract. You just need to take an extra second or two before getting out of the car to make sure the belt gets out of the way of the door.

These covers are very stiff and offer little padding. They adhere well and the material seems durable, but not soft at all. Hopefully it will prevent rubbing on a seat belt for an outdoor vehicle.

I’m a short girl (5’), and the seatbelt always digs into my neck when I’m driving, and it bothers me so much. I like that it comes with two seat belt covers, I can use one on the passenger side or keep it as an extra in case this one gets damaged. It was easy to install, seems good quality material, I can still feel the seat belt but it’s not so sharp anymore it’s just the pressure I feel. I will update with further use if anything changes.
