Our flock loves fermented food
These are so nice and easy to use. The large size is so much better than using smaller mason jars and the fermentation process seems to work better using these. They are well made. I think these were great investments for our flock.

Must Have!
These fermentation jars are amazing! I have 6 of them and they are absolutely perfect for small batches! A must have!

Excellent for homebrew
These are my new favorite fermenters for small batch home brew, and it's not even close. The the 1.5 gallon size is super convenient, as it gives you plenty of room for fresh fruit or spice additions, while still ending up with a gallon of whatever you're making (usually mead in my case). I also really like the removal rubber gaskets for both the airlock and screw seals, much better than the o rings (or nothing at all) that other wide mouth fermenters have. My only complaint is that the gasket for the airlock seems to be slightly larger than the standard size airlocks I have, so you have to use the included ones of you want an airtight seal.

Perfect for brewing
Well-made and easily fits in a standard dishwasher.

Would buy again
So much easier to clean than the gallon sized jugs I typically use for ciders and such. The fact that these are 1.5 gallons means that I get extra headspace for a vigorous fermentation without overflow. When primary fermentation finishes, I get a full gallon of liquid after racking, no need to top off to reduce headspace. The lids are airtight and the included airlocks work well.

Just about perfect.
I really like these jars, I bought them for winemaking. They're a great size for a one gallon batch, and they're nice and beefy too. The lids fit snugly, and they seem just as durable and heavy duty as the jars. Sometimes the plastic lids that come with glass containers seem so flimsy, but that's not the case here. Even the rubber sealing ring has a little tab to make it easier to remove, it's all well thought out. I also really appreciate the measurements in metric and imperial units. Both get thrown around so much in winemaking, it's nice to have both options. Yeah, I like just about everything, except... One of the jars has this two inch long defect wrapping around one of the side corners. It looks like a bubble got worked into the glass in the molding process. It doesn't leak or anything, but it does make me nervous, with the whole "internal stresses" thing. I'd hate to have this thing blow up on me because I got it a little too hot or cold. Honestly, I probably would have done a return, had I not already put the first jar to use. Oh well. I still like the jars, but I'll probably just use the second one for emergencies.

Two Successful Ferments So Far
Upon receiving these jars, I immediately cleaned and sanitized them for sake and cider making. It was my first time homebrewing and these jars performed perfectly. This set is a great way to get kicked off with fermenting various things, since it came with everything that I needed and at a cost less than a single jar I was looking at elsewhere. I am glad that they came with the pair of three-piece airlocks, which let me see the bubble popping and got me excited to check every morning. I have already accidentally banged both of the jars a few times on various things and they are still good.

I wish I had found them five years ago when I first started making pickles. These jars are the perfect size to make my canning pickles to tide me over the winter. The wide mouth is big enough that I can get my whole had in the jar, making it very easy to tightly pack the contents. The lid is hard plastic and cleans up easily. The air lock grommet comes with a plug so it can go directly from fermentation to fridge. My only complaint is the air locks are made of a cloudy plastic making it difficult to see the water level; clear transparent plastic would have worked better.
