An absolute beast of an amplifier
Firstly thanks to Amazon for a timely and smooth delivery. This is like a holy grail of combo amplifier for the price it definitely feels more versatile than tube amplifiers too, easy recording via usb and lots of Boss effects, you may need sometime to get used to tweaking of the EQ for tones but the tone studio software is a must to be used with the product if you want to get into the deeper side of this product. I did almost 3 months research before I selected the Gen 3 model rather than MK2 because of the new Pushed channel and more sound dynamics. Am happy and planning to buy another one to make it a full stereo rig.

Pretty good amp
I replaced a Peavey Classic 30 tube Amp with this. Mainly because it was too heavy to haul around anymore. Turns out this katana is festooned with so tone and effects options I'll probably never discover them all. 100 watts is powerful enough for my purposes. Sounds great, lighter than the boat anchor that is the Peavey, with a lot of options. You can even hook it up to your computer and download more tones and store them into the Amp. I haven't done that yet.Update: after about three weeks I still haven't found "my sound. " It's not the amp's fault thoughMaybe I need less gain and more reverb and delay.I play in an open mic scenario each week. Most of the guys in the house band have this Amp. Clearly they knew something I didn't until I got this Amp.I just learned that you can boost the Amp's power from 1 watt, 50%, to 100% 100-watt output. I was playing at low power at the jam sessions and didn't know it. Couldn't figure out why it wasn't getting loud enough. Now I know

Sonido claro y construcción sólida
Excelente sonido y potencia. Es sólido y bien construido, claro que es un poco pesado pero es de esperarse por su capacidad. Además es conveniente pues se puede conectar a una PC o mezcladora cual tarjeta de sonido.

Awesome amp
Bought for my son for Christmas. He loves it and uses it every single day, it connects to his computer and has a lot of features. While it doesn't do all the things that his pedals did, it is an excellent amp and is value for money. It arrived to us safely and so far we have had no issues at all.

Great amp with great tone!
Great amp! Most importantly, is the sound quality. It has a nice warm tone...almost as good as an all-tube amp...very close. I'm using this for Pedal Steel Guitar & I get a great tone from it....& plenty of power. I'll occasionally use headphones (it has a headphone jack, audio in, etc.)...& the sound quality is also great with headphones. I try not to use headphones too much, as I get hearing fatigue if using too long...& I like it loud.It has a ton of great effects in the panel...& also on the 8 channels. The Boss Tone Studio is great, but can be complex & stressful at times...especially if you're not computer savvy. Yet, once you set up an effect for a channel using the Boss Tone Studio...it's really nice. I also have the Boss GA-FC EX foot controller & it's great to have. It, is also complex at first...& takes some time getting to know exactly how to use it. If you buy the controller pedal, & need advice...there's a great group on Facebook for that...as well as videos on YouTube. There's also groups for Katana amps as well.In closing, I'm very happy with the amp....especially it's warm, silky tone. Not harsh at all....I can't stand a harsh tone! I also use effects pedals...& have a pedal board....& I always will. I appreciate the simplicity of effects pedals vs. the built in effects to be quite honest. All in all...I love my Boss Katana 100 Gen 3, & definitely recommend buying it. Great amp, that is in my price range!Oh...I definitely recommend spending a few more dollars & buying the 100 watt Katana...instead of the 50 watt Katana. You'll be happy you did! The extra 50 watts makes a huge difference.
