The pictures alone make this book value for money.The text is informative and erudite.

Excellent book, author's life and artworks go together and create a beautiful analysis of Schiele's art. Written beautifully and really good pictures. Highly recommend.

Great book

I have only just discovered Egon Schiele and my main interest is drawings by artists (rather than paintings). This is a brilliant first book to own. Nice size to handle and the quality of the pictures are outstanding. Once again a lovely coffee table book.

Bought for the wife's birthday as she is an admirer of the artist's work and we had recently been to his exhibition at the Courtauld Gallery in London. Book arrived promptly and the wife loves it. Great colour plates and background analysis. A must for all Schiele fans.

22.90 x 15.20 cm this book is small, however, the content is incredible (496pp) It is chronologically arranged. Over 300 full page images all in their original colour (excellent reproductions). Each chapter is arranged by year with a description of the artists life at the time followed by the drawings. It is well written, to the point and informative. The text size and layout make it a joy to read. (Please note: If you are unfamiliar with Schiele's work it may be worth noting it's graphic content, which may not be to everyone's taste, however, if you're a fan, it's a must have.)

I totally agree with the other 5 star reviews. You may be tempted to over look this book as there are other larger format books on the artist available. Although on the smaller side it packs a punch. Lavishly illustrated, interesting accompanying text, it's easily my favourite schiele book I own.

A must book for Schiele lovers.

Piccolo nel formato ma ottimo nei contenuti. La resa delle immagini stampate ( a colori) è veramente molto buona. E' una raccolta completa di tutte le opere di schile divise per anno e precedute da un descrizione che ne spiega a grandi linee le caratterische principali e lo stile adottato in quel particolare periodo che rifletteva, ovviamente, le problematiche del vissuto quotidiano dell'artista. E' in inglese. La copertina del mio libro è arrivata leggermente rovinata, sarà stato pressato malamente durante il trasposto. Ma non è un problema. Per il costo al quale è venduto è decisamente un'ottimo prodotto editoriale.

Apesar do tamanho do livro ser pequeno , pelo menos é compensado pela capa dura e a jaqueta protetiva dele. quanto ao conteúdo? SENSACIONAL....... varias fases de Schiele, rascunhos para obras finais .... Rascunhos Raisoneé, todos muito numerosos, o livro é enorme ( numero de páginas , ricamente ilustrado ) recomendadíssimo.

This is a great little book!! Hard cover and lovely paper quality. The images are beautiful and it tells the full story of Schiele. Really worth the money if you are a fan of his!!
