Shade repair
Its a good product and has the parts needed for shade repair. If you have RV pleated shades you can use this kit for repairs. Hint - buy some medium size hemostats from Amazon to hold the line as you work. If the line is broken then I remove the shade from the window to work on it. Find a string diagram on the internet for the blind you are repairing. Over the years I have repaired over 10 of these guys. Go slow and have patience.

4 hands and 24 minutes
Thought we were going to have to replace a $150 blind over a broken String. Ordered this kit and we now have our privacy back. Nice side note there is enough string to fix 1 maybe 2 more shades. Its a little tricky reassembling the shade but with the help of my wife it went smoothly.Hint: as you are sliding the shades back together have some one pull the strings just enough to keep them from getting stuck in the wrong places, it will make sense when you get to fixing them. The instructions are pretty good .

Crucial buy for RVing
First off, it is so annoying to break a pull shade string or have the old ones so stretched out that the shades keep falling. The shades in our 5th wheel were surprisingly high quality day/night shades that we didn’t want to go through the expense of replacing. We found this first aid kit and are ecstatic at the results. We have replaced the strings in the two largest shades and still have strings left for emergencies. Follow the directions closely and take your time! Disassembling the shades requires patience but anyone can do it and the payoff is well worth the time and the small expense for the kit. We were concerned about if the color would match. It was not the same color as the original string but matched the shades perfectly and you cannot tell the difference between the new string and the old string when installed in the same shade.

Very well suited for blind repair.
This kit worked very well for repairing my pleated blinds in my Motor home. The advertising claims that the kit will repair up to 4 blinds, that might be true if the blinds are small. My blinds were 42 inches wide, were 4 string blinds and required a separate kit for each blind. The step by step instructions were easy to follow and helped me to understand how the different day and night shades had to thread to function correctly. I found it helpful to have a small piece of stainless steel wire to help thread the string through the holes while clamping the blind together. I did not use the included springs as my blind springs were in good condition and positioned differently than the instructions indicated.

NOT SO GREAT AFTER ALL!
Works great, easy to install. Only thing is the color issue. My RV is a 2006. My shades appear to be beige (they certainly are not white) so I ordered the beige but the cording in this package are darker than my shades. Comparing them to the other shades (still original) it appears the cords are white but any NEW white, in my opinion, would stick out far worse against the color of my shades than the beige does. Either way, I wish they had a color in-between. (Maybe they do but I haven't found it). A nice "soft white" would probably be perfect. In the photos attached, the one on the left is the new BEIGE cord, the one of the right is from an original shade showing what appears to be WHITE cording.Purchased on May 3, 2020, and last week of July 2020 I couldn't open and close them anymore due to fraying of the cords.I live in my RV full time and close the blinds at night for privacy and open them in the morning to let in the light. The cords do not hold up.First 2 pictures are on the day I restrung the shade, last 2 pictures were taken today, August 7, 2020. I am going to try to restring them with fishing line and see how that goes.

pay Attention to your cord thickness.
Kit was complete, but after running into problems restringing a four cord day/night shade realized the cord thickness made it impossible to complete. Figured out on my own that I drilled 4 holes in the mid section so I could thread the thicker thread separately and was able to make it work. I don’t remember if it was in the instructions or on the utube video but somewhere it did mention if you have a certain type of day/night shade this kit will not work.Quick advise look at your cord thickness first if it is very thin this kit is not for your shades.

Perfect for my needs.
I had 2 pleated two color shades in need of repair. These were the correct size and length. Perfect actually. This was something I was going to throw money at and have a local shade place do but when I saw what they charged I decided to explore YouTube and found great videos. One from this manufacturer as a matter of fact. First one took a little more focus and doing. The second one Took me longer to remove and reinstall form my motorhome I think than to replace the strings. You can do it. I found it odd that I couldn't just buy 100 ft of like cord somewhere but it is what it is. This did the job.

Measure your blinds to make sure you have enough string to complete your project.
We restrung 3 day/night shades in our RV using 2 kits - 1 kit for 2 smaller blinds and the other kit for the large blind that is across the entire back of the trailer. I did watch a video and read the directions which were easy to understand. Hint: buy a long blunt end darning needle to thread string through holes - works well. I also tied 2-3 strings around the dark and light part of shade to keep them pleated when I stringing them. We took our time and it was a lot better than buying new ones. The only problem we had was making sure they were tight on the grommet that you screw back into wall to keep the lines tight. Other than that the kit is easy to use.
