BILLCONCH Smart Gun Safe for Handgun with Fingerprint, App & Security Cable

Super easy to set up and very sturdy. The fingerprint scanner works great, light works good. Not super heavy or large. I feel very confident in this safe's ability of keeping my stuff secure. Also the app that you can pair is super convenient. You can open it from there and It tells you when it was last opened and how it was opened. Highly recommend this safe if you need something compact and affordable!

Needed a gun safe for my Byrna SD which is a rather hard pistol to get either a small safe or a holder to fit it. This Safe fits my Byrna just perfectly with a tiny bit of wiggle room top to bottom with plenty of extra space side to side. I just ordered this pretty gun safe a few days ago and item showed up quickly, it is a very beautiful red color with some design to it. Battery was easy to install, fingerprint scanner works great and wasn't hard to program at all. Key access is hidden behind a rubber cap. Seems like it will be durable enough with its weight and design. Overall extremely happy with this item so far.

This is an amazing product I absolutely love the app! It’s very easy to use, and the finger spring feature works incredibly well. It has exceeded my expectations by lasting much longer than I anticipated. The quality is outstanding, and everything functions exactly as advertised. I purchased the larger version of this safe, and so far it has been exactly what I was looking for. The setup process was quick and straightforward. The on-screen instructions made everything easy to understand, and I had the safe configured in just a few minutes. Pairing it with the app was simple, and the app has worked flawlessly so far. I like being able to manage fingerprints and settings from my phone instead of having to do everything directly on the safe. The fingerprint scanner has also been very reliable. It recognizes my fingerprint quickly and unlocks without any issues, which is important when you want fast access. It’s nice knowing there are multiple backup options as well, including a PIN code and physical keys, just in case they’re ever needed. Capacity was another reason I chose this model. I ordered the larger size, and it comfortably holds the two handguns I intended to store with room for a few other small valuables. The interior padding helps keep everything protected, and the built-in LED light is a nice touch when opening it in a darker room. Working good, more than enough storage. Everything is easy to use. It mounts nice and easy secured. It isn't way too much. Seems to be very strong. And it's portable, which is what I like. If I need to move it, it's really easy to do not a problem. Whatsoever, I like the fact that I can secure it and then in a flash, pick it up and take off with it. If I need to for whatever reason, it's not a big process. Definitely a good deal. Highly recommend this one fingerprint. Everything works good. I'm definitely a good deal. UPDATE: Company is super-responsive and cares about their products and customers. I wrote an email describing in detail the issues - and they wrote back within hours and had done a bunch of research to find out they have a new part with a cut-out that will fix the problem of the ribbon cable getting worn. They even sent a picture of the new part and comms with the engineers. Very impressed with BillConch. It's been a few weeks - safe working great - love it! Hello! My name is Aaron, I own and operate a computer repair and service business for the past 13 years in Richmond, VA. As an electronics technician, electronics hobbyist designer, computer systems engineer and union electrician of 20 years - I would like to offer some constructive criticism to the company, a simple repair/fix on their assembly line, and a fix for current and future owners that may see the following behavior of the BILLCONCH Model:B1 Gun Safe. While it was disappointing to have an issue, I really like the safe, the features, the build quality, etc. I would have given it 5-stars on Amazon if not for my “issue”. Since I was able to diagnose and repair the problem, I’m still keeping it – so, let that be a testament to this product! Thanks! After repair, everything seems to work great, including rejecting fingerprints - which seems to be a complaint - where it "accepts any fingerprint". I did not find this to be true and FP appears to accept/reject fine. I propose that perhaps this issue is also causing issues for others and their unit's ability to recognize/reject their prints. PROBLEM: 1. Unit does not turn on or respond/charge with battery or USB cable. 2. Unit turns off while pressing on fingerprint reader or on plastic bezel with very little, to moderate pressure (Specifically to the right, or right lower side of the FR). In my specific case, on arrival(!) - the unit worked fine during setup, inserted codes and fingerprints and charged the battery (which came practically fully charged!). I later (same day) observed the unit turn off instantly while enrolling a second user. The unit did not turn back on without somewhat forcefully tapping on the bezel, between the fingerprint reader and the speaker grill. I was then able to repeat the “instant off” condition by applying slight pressure on the bezel, while “lifting” the bezel from the frame ever-so-slightly caused the unit to power back on. Sometimes the unit would “stay-off” while other times it would turn on and off based on if the bezel had downward pressure applied or not. DIAGNOSIS and OBSERVATIONS: 1. A SCREW that affixes the PCB to the rear of the bezel may cause a direct-short condition. The screw is one of two screws, located beneath the flat-flex ribbon cable responsible for connecting the GND, 3.3V and LED ring-light power to the Fingerprint reader’s daughter-board. In my case, the small, Phillips-Head screw had “sharp points” that had pierced the flat-flex ribbon cable, direct-shorting the 3.3v and GND lines – causing the unit to turn off. A. The back cover/bottom of the control panel ever-so-slightly bulges at the location of the screw/ribbon cable, indicating there is no extra room between the black “backing panel” and the cable/screw. When the front panel is screwed down flat, the flat-flex ribbon cable is being pressed into the PCB mounting screw, causing rubbing and ultimately, an electrical short. Providing extra room here would solve the issue, but may be unacceptable, as it would increase the overall height of the control panel and require substantial retooling and manufacturing of a new part. B. The screw responsible for the damage has a slightly taller head than the other mounting screws, maybe by a half a millimeter. Using a flatter, thinner screw head would also fix this issue. C. The screw pierced the flat-flex ribbon cable due to what looks like the “witness marks” of the driver that put it in… that is, the screw’s cross-pattern deformed slightly while being torqued down, causing metal spikes at the four inner-corners of the cross-pattern. A better machined screw head or a higher hardness screw would fix this, likely. SUGGESTED CHANGE FOR COMPANY/ASSY LINE: 1. Apply a small piece of Kapton tape over the screws, below the ribbon cable. FIX FOR USERS: 1. Remove the 4 rubber grommets and screws located on the front panel. 2. Remove the back cover by snapping the back cover away from the tabs and expose the rear circuit boards and electronics of the front control panel. 3. Unlock the flat-flex ribbon cable from the far-side labeled GND-3.3V-LED by moving the black plastic clip horizontally, away from the connector by a millimeter or two. 4. Remove the flat-flex cable from the connector and flip the cable up and back, inspect for damage and identify if your screw has pierced your cable. If so, I removed the screw and used a small metal file to file the screw head flat, eliminating the tiny ridges/spikes that were causing the damage and making the screw less-tall. Then, apply a piece of Kapton tape or perhaps electrical tape over the screws, located below the cable. Reassemble and good luck!

This handgun safe exceeded my expectations. The build quality is excellent, the steel construction feels solid, and it gives me confidence that my firearm is stored securely while still being quickly accessible when needed. I really like having multiple ways to unlock it. The fingerprint reader is fast and accurate, the keypad is easy to use, the app setup was straightforward, and having a backup key provides extra peace of mind. The built-in LED light is also a thoughtful feature that makes it much easier to access the contents in the dark. The safe is the perfect size for a nightstand, operates quietly, and the battery life has been excellent. Setup only took a few minutes, and everything worked as advertised right out of the box. If you’re looking for a secure, reliable, and easy-to-use biometric handgun safe with several quick-access options, this is an outstanding choice. Five stars.

A wonderful purchase! Very durable for its size, stable and weighty; made of wonderful material! I had received a faulty safe and was given a replacement! Able to fit my ammo and the "handheld products" that I have! I am comforted by its secure mounting that I have it on, not being able to be taken. No one other than me are able to get it. I've even tried my fingerprint in different locations and angles - was able to get access no problem. Tried to even "break in" or access using other fingers and tools. Only recognizing the one finger I did add! So, if I'm ever in an unfortunate situation, there wouldn't be any stress about getting my security devices. The internal light that is with the box makes it easy to see what I have and where! Definitely worth the price! Highly recommend and have already!! Great material for a great price!
