A great chef’s knife that won’t break the bank.
So surprised at the quality of this very cheap knife. Arrived promptly. Grippy handle. Super duper sharp. Easy to use. A great chef’s knife that won’t break the bank.

Excellent value and well made.
Very good value for a general use chef's knife. I wish it was a little longer but it's fine for smaller jobs. Arrives very sharp and stays that way with an occasional gentle brush against a fine diamond honing steel. Can't beat the value. Time will tell if it's on a par with Victorinox Fibrox or equivalents at twice the price or more.

Nice Budget-Friendly Knife
This is a nice chef's knife with a really comfortable handle that feels nice to use. Reasonably sharp though nothing incredible in that department. If you don't have a chef's knife this is a reasonable budget-friendly option. If you have a bit more to spend; probably get a Victorinox instead.

Great knife at a very reasonable price
This knife sits nicely alongside my other chef's knives. The steel is good quality and the handle, while not very beautiful, feels grippy and ergonomic, and this results in a very good user experience.

Not Sharp!
The Mercer M22608 Millennia Chef's Knife arrived sealed in a cardboard/plastic card, it's a pain in the ass to actually remove the knife from the plastic card. The Mercer wasn't sharp it needed a honing rod to bring up the edge, once I'd done that it performed OK for a £15 budget chef knife. For a little more money (about 8 quid more) the GHOSDLICH forged Chef Knife on Amazon is available in 6 or 8 inch sizes, they are better made with a full tang, much sharper out of the box, use a higher grade German stainless steel and cost under £25, I own both knives and recommend the GHOSDLICH every time.

8-in. chef's knife is great value
The 8-in. chef’s knife is superb value. The blade is very sharp, the handle is comfortable and the balance is good. I’m no expert on kitchen knives, but I’d compare this to a Mora outdoor knife from Sweden – no-frills design that values the quality of the steel over fancy handles or brass rivets. The steel is not the hardest, so it should sharpen easily and often. It’s not a full tang, but I don’t think that matters at all. The blade is deep – 50 mm – so it probably won’t fit in your knife block. I bought a Mercer plastic sheath instead, which works fine.

Excellent cheap knife
Hard to beat for this price point. Very sharp and comfortable to use, but you don't need to feel precious about them.
