Timeless Classic
The go-to classic sneaker. For those that can wear flat-soled shoes, these are comfortable enough for walking around town for hours. As these shoes have inevitably grown in popularity, its price has also climbed over the years. I always look back at my old Amazon order and wish I purchased multiple backup pairs.Regardless, I always end up replacing these throughout the years, whatever the current price, as nothing has beaten the comfort & timeless look of the Mexico 66s!

my only complaint is i wish more people shouted BRUCE LEE SHOES instead of KILL BILL. He is why she is wearing that outfit. Learn your kung fu history people...Oh yeah, review the shoes.. they look dope and i get compliments every time i wear them and they go with so many things. they are super light and comfortable. you will have to be conscious of the suede toe cap so you won't want to wear them to like mow the yard and or kick puddles. they are sidewalk warriors. but still warriors.

Very happy with this purchase
Very happy with this purchase. I was looking for a casual driving type shoe, similar to Puma. I wanted an old school shoe that still had some style to it, was narrow, and flat. This fit the bill. Because of these qualities, this is a specific shoe that might not fit everyone. So let's get to the pros/cons:Pros:- Awesome, classic styling. I get comments on them from people from time to time wondering what brand they are.- After wearing them for several months, leather seems to be holding up, along with the suede portions.- Narrow fit that feels snug. This is great as I have a bit more narrow feet than others. These fit perfect.- Size was appropriate. I've worn 10's all my life and these fit exactly as others.Cons:- Not a con for me at all, but wide feet beware. These are fairly narrow.- Some of the material feels a bit thin. I am worried about wear over time, but for now it is holding up.Overall, I've very please with this shoe. Not sure how, but I got these (black/white pair) for $33. I see the price is now normally around $60. Not sure I'd be pleased paying over $50 for these, as I feel that's the maximum I'd pay for a shoe like this, because I just don't see them holding up with daily use for several years. If you can find them for a bit under $60, I think it's absolutely worth it.

The original shoe with the Asics double-stripes
This is a very comfortable sneaker. I typically wear minimalist shoes. I've tried the fabric version of these and a few other Onitsuka Tiger models, which are usually on the loose side (my foot just slid around inside several of them). These leather shoes are more fitted at the arch and sides of the toe box (but not too short in length or tight across the toe box), and I would feel much more comfortable working out in these. The sole is thin, with an allover miniature nub texture and a very slight increase in heel height. There is a low arch support. It basically has a flexible rubber sole with a thin, perforated sockliner. The white leather looks nice, though the suede toe cap looks like it will mark up, if you're not careful. As others mentioned, and like most shoes from that time, there is a bit of time required for these to break in. I wore them around the house a few days, and there was some rubbing on my Achilles, but after a couple of days (just wearing them a little each afternoon), the leather stretched to fit my foot. I would prefer that the heel tab stay folded down, but it will flip up on you quite a bit, until you've worn them quite a few times. You could use binder clips or something to help the fold set. These are nice enough for a casual look with chinos or more dressed up look with nicer jeans, and lots of folks comment on how cool/nice they look. They're relatively cheap, compared to other minimalist shoes, and they really are comfortable, once you break them in. If they were to get too dirty to wear as a casual shoe, I wouldn't have any qualms about wearing them to the gym as a basic workout shoe.

GREAT COMFORT/QUALITY FOR $84!
These are some of the most eye catching and cool shoes that I've owned! I finally got my first pair of Mexico 66's after seeing every guy I know with 'em on. The quality is great as expected with super comfort and arch support. I paid $84 for mine...BE VERY WARY OF ANY OFFER FOR LESS THAN $80. After reading a ton of reviews, I have to agree that these tend to run SLIGHTLY bigger than "typical" shoes. The way around this is very simple; just measure your foot w/o socks and refer to the size guide. I normally wear size 11 Men's but when I measured my foot, I was right on the line between a 10.5 and 11 for what the guide recommended. So to be cautious I ordered the size 11 AND AM VERY GLAD I DID! They fit awesome! Roomy but not too roomy...just right. I have slightly wider feet but these feel stinking comfortable. As a side note, the cool leather "Tiger" flap on the back IS NOT uncomfortable in any way as lots of people seem to think. The only reason I'm not giving them a "5" is because when they arrived the left shoe had visible dark marks/soiling on the front/top leather piece and on the back leather "X" pattern piece. I've been able to get some of the soiling off but it's just not worth returning. I'll be getting more of these for sure.
