Smooth for the tarmac, and with some grip on the edges of the tyres. Good.

Great Tyre to use on an MTB Hardtail for a Gravel Ride
I purchased these Tyre's so that I could use my MTB Hardtail on a group Gravel ride in the New Forest area. They were great and didn't cause drag so as to hamper my progress. I was able to ride along with dedicated Gravel bike riders. I would buy again, and I would also buy from this supplier again.

Quality item. Super fast delivery.But!! WTH Amazon!!! Don't ya think that's just a tad OTT for packaging 2 tyres (see pic)?You could have fitted a full bike in that box!!P.S. You may notice in the pic, that one of my cats did approve of the box... my other 2 went in it later lol.

Easy too fit, low rolling resistance.
Good tyre fitted to mountain bike, less rolling resistance, faster than mtb tyres I had, good grip on road and gravel.

Replaced my MTB tyres with these Continental Tyres, move like greased lightening over the tarmac now, no more drag, less wear and tear on my poor old knees.

best replacement for hybrid needs
what a difference a better tread makes for tarmac and hard surfaces. Still has sufficient extra grip to the side of the tyre for rough terrain
