Great Product. Great Service
This is our 2nd Qidi 3 D Printer. I bought it for my son who has spent countless hours making models for fun, as gifts and to learn how 3D printing works. The printer is very simple to use yet allows my son to learn about and change key parameters to improve the models. Whenever we have hat a hitch or simply lacked enough knowledge to achieve what we wanted to try, the email support has been superb. Very quick, very helpful answers come back and even the most complex issues are quickly resolved. I would definitely recommend the product and the company

Worked out of the box
I bought this because the previous reviews were all positive. I can continue with that track record.I like that it works from its SD card so the PC isn't busy for hours. I prefer that it communicates without wi-fi. I wouldn't want to rely on wi-fi.I started the test print file without attempting to level the bed and it worked straight away ie. it came from china and through several transit points and stayed levelled. I may have been lucky so even if you bought this and it needed levelling, I would expect it to stay level from print to print. My aggressive handling to remove the part still didn't spoil the levelling. An improvement would be a removable plate but only if the robustness can be maintained. I design lasers for a living and I would be pleased if my laser mirrors stayed as well aligned as this heated bed does. The included slicer settings are clearly good for print quality and adhesion. It was very difficult to remove it from the builders tape used (this is good and I'm not used to this - the piece usually moved on my last printer). I also used the slicer software to convert one of my pieces from stl to gcode and it worked with the default slicer settings. The filament was the spool included in the box.My colleagues at work (fellow physicists and engineers who have their own 3D printers) were amazed at the results. I had an ambition to have the dual extruder from Qidi but had to go for the lower cost printer at the moment. My questions to Qidi were answered within their promised 12hr response. I hope they continue to do so once this review is posted.

Fantastic printer!
I'm so happy I bought this 3D printer. I wasn't sure how good it would be as it's a relatively cheap printer. The print quality is excellent. Very reliable, easy to set up. Excellent customer service when I had a question. I very highly recommend! It's been a wonderful experience to print tiny pieces for my board game and to give people nice plastic birthday presents!

Great first printer with nice results
Got this printer last month and its working like a charm, printing constantly its easy to setup and the software it comes with is great. At the start however, i had problems with the adhesion to the main platform, but after a few tweaks and making sure i used sufficient glue its no problem. The customer support is also great, i was nagging them with some problems when i first had it, they got back to me promptly and gave me files, software updates without hassle.

Excellent!!
I bought this a few years back & can say it is an excellent piece of equipment. It's the best toy ever!!It's good value for money & extremely reliable.I do a design, transfer it onto SD card & get the printer going. Very good results pretty much every time.I did consider the Flashforge alternative but decided on the Qidi & I have to say I think I made the right choice. At work, we have a Prusa i3 & a Flashforge as well some other Very expensive 3D printers.I would say that the Prusa & the Qidi are about the same standard, with the Flashforge not being quite as good. The Qidi comes partly assembled with just a little light assembly required by the user. Nothing challenging. A 10 year old should be able to do it.The instructions are good & they give you an excellent tool set with spares. The Qidi does need to be manually calibrated but it's a simple process that takes a few minutes to do. (The Prusa has a self calibration mode, on the other hand)For me, the mark of a really good product is not happens when things go well, but when things don't.From time to time printers will jam or do something unexpected. Often this can be in part due to the filament. Jams do occur & I found the Qidi is very easy to sort out. I've found that I can take the print head apart to clear a jam/blockage in about 5 minutes. It's about 4 bolts to take it all apart.Changing the nozzles can be a little tricky but all the tools are supplied. The printer comes with a "Slicer" program that takes the design file (.STL or similar) & does the actual printing. It's easy to use. You may find that you have to play with some of the settings, depending on material & the object design. It does NOT come with a design package. You have to find that yourself but there packages out there.Sketchup will do what you're after.I use TinkerCad. It's a simple on-line package from Adobe. For an entry level package, it's surprising what it will do for you. There are others out there.I've owned my Qidi for a few years & things do go wrong from time to time or wear out. I've just had to change my 2nd nozzle after about 3 years. It's not difficult. The heated platten has a self adhesive top. I'm about to change mine for the 2nd time. It's a bit more tricky & it took me about an hour to do last time.I have to say the support from Qidi is outstanding!Marks out of 10?12!!If I've had a problem that I can't sort out myself, I've e-mailed them & have had a reply in 24 hours. In most cases, it has been a response in a couple of hours. They have a spares shop on Aliexpress. For me, the big question is would I buy this again if I had to.Yes, I would buy a Qidi again. No hesitation. Some tips that may be of use to anyone looking to get into 3D printing:-1) Filament can be very variable so be prepared to try different makes. Personally, I use Prima, available from Amazon, but I'm sure other people have other favourites.2) My printer came with a reel of orange filament. I've found this to be an excellent colour for doing test prints as it seems to show the print (& any errors) clearly. Once again, everyone will have their own idea on what works best for them3) I use an adhesive on my bed before a print. I tend to stay with known brand names (Pritt-stick & Elmer's). I've tried the cheaper stuff but found it doesn't seem to work so well for me. Once again I would suggest that you try a few out to find the stuff that works for you4) A really good resource for 3D designs is a site is www.thingiverse.com. People do some amazing things on that site!

Fantastic Customer Service
My first little foray into 3d printing and I went with qidi thanks to the reported back up stated in various reviews. Arrived exceptionally well packed and ready to go out of the box. Only slight issue was the bottom door hinge had snapped off, not a massive issue though it did mean the door hung a bit. Contacted Qidi and with in a few weeks a complete new front arrived along with a few extras like nozzles. Great service and nice little machine that's proving a great learning platform for me. When I start looking for a second one I'll certainly be looking at Qidi again-hmm that duel extruder one looks interesting.
