Adhesive Tape Will Not Hold, Lifts Up When Driveing and Makes Loud Flaping Sounds
The Gihdfer Hard Top Roof Seal is a good idea in theory. I installed it on my 2024 JLU Rubicon hardtop, which has less than 1000 miles on it. The length was good, and I cut off about 6 inches extra. There are no instructions provided. I applied the glue strip side to the front, which only made sense to me to keep the wind and water out from under the seal when moving forward. After the installation, the Jeep sat in the garage for three days. The kit comes with alcohol cleaning cloths and and a surface prep for the taped adhesive to prepare the roof to apply the strip adhesive to the roof. A center protrusion of the gasket fits down into the crease created where the front and rear roofs attach. That roof seal is waterproof on its own, without the seal, but I would have liked to improve the noise with the Gihdfer seal. On the first drive with the new seal installed, I immediately started to hear unusually loud rapping noises, which I quickly discovered were the glue side of the seal coming loose and vibrating in the wind. A section on the front of the seal, near the center, was not glued down. It moved up and down depending on wind speed and made loud noises. The longer I drove, the wider the unattached section of the seal became and the noisier it became. I dont believe the seal will hold using the narrow glue strip it comes with, especially in desert hot environments that will melt the adhesive. A better solution would be a mechanical hold using barbs on the gasket to push the seal down in place and hold it that way.

Can't get it to straighten out
Have not installed it yet. Trying to get the kinks out of it, which is almost impossible. So I can't say anything as to how it would work. Because I've been trying to get it to lay straight which I haven't been able to do yet since I bought it. So I don't know how well it is going to hold up. If I get to put it on there.

Not as functional as I thought it would be...
Upon receiving this product, I was a little confused. First off, I was sent 2 of the same items which isn't a problem but was just weird in general. Secondly the instructions are none existent so I had to go off the pictures from the page. Upon trying to install like recommended I realized this would make it harder to install my freedom panels once removed. Therefore, I installed it "temporarily" and did not remove the glue/sticky tape so I could easily take this off if I didn't like it. Once installed I can't say that I noticed a difference on my '24 JLU. I didn't really have any noise complaints before, but figured I'd give this a shot to see if it made anything better and I can't say that it has. Maybe on older model Wranglers this would improve something, but I have to say I think this is a product that is not really necessary. In fact, I believe it could cause issues since it's messing with the factory seals and could let water in during heavy rains.

Freedom seal replacement
Fit was ok, we have had it on for about a week now and at first it was leaking on the passenger side but that has now stopped. Might be that it got warm and settled in to place better. Seems good now. :)

they said it was the right size for my car but it was not
The product do not fit, it is too short(for sure do not fit on a jeep wrangler is about two inches short) I have to cut it on top, now lets see if the rain make it obsolete. Hate this happen i was so happy when i see the design just to be short.
