From an avid camper, this tent is the best!!
I’m obsessed with this tent! My boyfriend and I are avid campers, and we do a lot of travel camping where we are packing up and setting up our campsite quite a bit. We wanted a bigger tent that was still small enough to pack easy, a tent that is better in rain and wind, and a tent that wasn’t a pain to set up- this was the winner!! This was very easy to set up and take down, but I will say if you only have one person I think it would be a little bit harder to put up, but with two people it was easy! We haven’t had down pouring rain since we’ve had this tent, but we have use it in the rain and everything was completely dry and it held up very well and I was never worried about it. It’s done well with decent wind gusts and so far it seems to be pretty sturdy! It’s nice and spacious, we typically air up an air mattress, but if you didn’t use an air mattress, you could very easily fit six people if not more depending on how big they are in this tent. Having the little outdoor component is amazing! It really helps us keep the inside of the tent nice and clean and it’s also nice for shade, keeping the bugs away and just having another little space that’s not zipped up in the tent! Air ventilation is good, if you have the window open, you can get some good airflow, but on the other hand if it’s really cold, it feels like it keeps body heat in the tent pretty well. It was also very easy to fold up and get back in the bag, we’ve had a lot of struggle with folding tents up and making them fit back in their original bag… But this one was not a problem at all! The zippers are nice and smooth so far as well which is great because anyone who camps knows a messed up zipper is so frustrating. We almost got the 8 person tent but we were afraid it would be too big, but I think it would have been great! For the space this tent gives, it doesn’t take as much ground space as I was expecting! All in all I give this tent a 10/10 and we are excited to use this tent more often!

Great tent
This is a great tent! It held up just fine thru rain and wind camping from MN to GA and back with 3 adults and 2 kids (1 kids with a cot). Still had plenty of room. I can put it up by myself, but super easy and quick setup with 2 ppl. All of the zippers have held up against the constant in and out of 2 littles. The porch is my favorite feature. Spacious enough for 2 chairs, a small table, and rolling cooler with plenty of room to enter/exit without moving. My only complaint, is that it's an open floor. For it's size, it's very lightweight. It only uses 9 total poles. Color coordinated, 3 top bars & 6 support poles.

Very nice tent!
Love this tent! My daughter and I took this tent camping a few times and were very impressed! It kept us dry during some very heavy rain and kept us from getting bitten a lot by bugs. We spent a lot of time in the screened in room. A couple of tips we always do and I highly recommend, put down a ground sheet before setting up your tent and use an indoor/outdoor rug for the screen room. Also consider a rug for just inside the side door so you have a place for muddy or sandy shoes. Another positive, all three times we have used this tent, we were able to easily get everything back into its storage bag. This tent can be set up and taken down by one person but it is very difficult. Two people make it a lot easier.

I love it!
This tent is great! I absolutely love it so far. It says this tent takes 2 people to set up, but I was able to set it up by myself, having never set up a tent before in my life. The instructions that come with the tent are not great, so I went on YouTube and found the video for how to set it up on the Portal Tent's page. I bought this tent for my camping trips with my dog and I, and the size is great, although I'm not sure how it could comfortably sleep 6 people...maybe if they're packed in like sardines! But I have a queen sized air mattress, and it still leaves some room for storing your things. So the size is perfect for my dog and I. I love the screened in porch area as well, it really does help keep the flying bugs out. That being said, the porch does not have a bottom, so make sure to put a tarp down to help keep the critters on the ground away. I love the option for a view of the stars at night if you leave the rainfly off. The rainfly is super simple to take on and off. It did rain a bit on my last trip, and the tent stayed nice and dry. I do wish there was at least one window on the sides (there's only 2 windows...one in the back, and one on the door), but the ventilation was just fine, as I slept with both windows open. Also, I would recommend buying some better stakes, as the ones that come with it are not the best. I bought the heavy duty nail stakes and they stayed in the entire time. All in all, I am very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend this tent if you are looking for something that is good quality and is a relatively easy set up!

Very large and practical!
Amazing tent, we've been camping with this probably a total of 2 weeks throughout the year in every climate. It's large enough to put a king sized air mattress at the end and still have over half the tent for everything else. Another plus is plenty of headspace for a 6' person, storage pockets for all the corners, and a perfect spot to hang a lamp overhead. The porch area was a big plus for us as well. I liked that it doesnt have a floor that would pool up water in the rain and it's big enough to cover our two bikes and still have space for a camp chair and cooler. The only downside to this tent is that it would be very difficult to set up if you dont have two people as the steel bars connect horizontally and would fall over and disconnect if you dont have another person helping to hold up the tent. Otherwise, it's not bad, takes about 15 minutes with practice, and could easily accommodate an entire family!

screen arrived damaged, but strong tent!
We were eager to purchase this tent, as it met all our requirements. However, upon opening the package, we found a hole in one of the screens. To keep bugs out, we quickly repaired it before taking the tent camping. Despite this setback, the tent performed well. It kept us dry during three inches of heavy rain and withstood winds over 30 MPH, thanks to its numerous anchor points—all of which we used. The tent offered impressive spaciousness, easily accommodating our air mattress without any difficulty. Initially, I had concerns that placing the mattress in the center might make standing inside awkward or cramped. However, those worries quickly disappeared once we set everything up—the tent provided more than enough height and room, allowing us to stand comfortably regardless of the mattress’s position. Would be 5 stars if it wern't for the hole in the screen.

Perfect Tent- LOVE the screened vestibule!
Really great tent, easy to assemble. I put this tent together, solo in about 12-15 mins. I wish it had a floor bottom in the screened area, but I had an outdoor rug to cover the ground! I would definitely recommend this tent. Personal, I think its a 2 person tent, especially if you have alot of gear.

Zipper failed after only a few months…maybe get the extended warranty?
This tent impressed me right away. The gorgeous sky views, the feeling of comfort from being able to stand and stretch at 5’7” tall while still making you feel like you were outdoors and not boxed in. It handled heavy rain, wind, and storms extremely well and kept everything inside dry. The layout is one of the best parts—the mesh porch and overall design make it feel open, functional, and easy to live in for extended periods. However, the zipper has become a major failure point. After a couple of months of regular use, the main vertical entry zipper on the mesh porch began separating and now no longer stays closed. At this point, it takes multiple attempts to get it to zip, and even then it will split open again. Because this is the primary, most convenient entry point, this significantly affects usability. A tent can have a great design and strong materials, but if the zipper fails, it compromises the entire function of the tent. Pros: * Excellent weather resistance * Spacious, well-thought-out design * Comfortable for extended use Cons: * Main zipper failed after a relatively short period * Separation issue makes it unreliable to open/close * Impacts overall usability in a big way Overall, I’m extremely disappointed as this tent has a lot going for it, but the zipper durability needs serious improvement. Maybe get the extended warranty just to be safe but then again who really wants a product that you have to worry will fail?!

Very roomy and easy setup
Very pleased with my purchase. Honestly, it's the easiest setup of a tent I've experienced. Lots of room to sleep 6 very comfortably. Would be a little crammed with 8 though, unless they are all small people. Love the screen room. You can fit four chairs in there easily or two chairs and a small table. The removable top is a sweet deal. It allows for the tent to stay much cooler than tents without this feature. Completely waterproof, no issues. It does sway a fair bit in slight wind, so you'll need a somewhat sheltered area for setup. Overall, it's fantastic. Very pleased with my purchase.

tent
Worked great when we camped in the summer. You need 2 people to set it up but it was a easy set up. Lots of room. When we used the front entry with the mosquito netting it really did reduce the number of mosquitoes that tried to get into the tent.

Tent pole broke
First time setting it up and a tent pole snapped, they're also supposed to be colour coded, but only one part of each pole is. So I have the leg poles that are all colour coded, but the roof poles aren't, so it was trial and error to figure out what went where. Now I have the the tent but no screened in area, when is causing some sagging in the tent and now it's leaking. Overall not a great experience.
