Nice wee kettle
Live this little kettle. Should save electricity as uses less water and suitable for two person household. Aesthetically very pleasing too

Wonderful kettle, MUCH better than the Dualit we had
Like everything about this but for me, a tea lover I have discovered how good Green tea, white tea should actually taste. Coffee is a bit better too at 95C. It really is a classy bit of kit and about £30 less than the Dualit "Classic" which it replaced, it represents far, far better value for money. Regarding this vs the Dualit, 1: This has multiple temperature, your tea will never taste better, and I have drank tea in a tea plantation in Sri Lanka! 2: Its lighter 3: The lid is very safe and easy to use, unlike the Dualit 4: It costs less 5: Well I cannot answer on how long it lasts but the Dualit started playing up at about a year and although they say its servicable, it costs to post it, then for them to look at it, then the repairs. So by that time you have bought a Sage and your life improves. Dont believe me, try trusted reviews which is what I read before I bought it

Very happy after 1 year
We bought this kettle as we moved into our new home 1 year ago. I'd already bought and was impressed with the Sage Barista Express. Since buying the kettle too I went on to buy a Sage blender - this company does a very good job of designing and manufacturing great quality, technically advanced products for a fair price.I was almost put off by some reviews which said the kettle didnt work or that it beeped annoyingly (!!). Yes it beeps, subtly, a couple of times when it reaches temperature. That's how you know the water has reached the set point when you've set a target that's lower than boiling point. Our window cleaner loves green tea (made at 80 degrees) and I always make him a cup when he visits. I can walk away from the kettle and he can still drink it right away when served. Similarly if you do make instant coffee you can set it for that. The base is good and it's easy to replace the kettle in any 360 degree position. The kettle is easy to keep clean. No limescale or corrosion inside after 12 months, though we live in West Yorkshire so it's not a major problem here anyway. All said very impressed and satisfied with the (now three) Sage products we've chosen.

Great design, good features, a bit louder than my previous, but a keeper
So I'm giving this four stars, despite loving it.Had a Siemens Porsche kettle for YEARS. As with the Sage toaster review I posted, I'd had the kettle 20 years. This kettle is single walled, and the Siemens was double walled - so the Siemens was touchable anywhere when boiling, but you can't touch the metal sides of this when boiled - not an issue at all, and I was a bit spoilt with the Siemens, so just need to get used to the difference. The sounder when changing temperature or starting, or completing is subtle, a nice beep (doesn't sound too electronic) and compliments the product and is useful to tell you the kettle has boiled. One thing I didn't realise my Siemens failed at but this is great at - once you've boiled a kettle of water, you can fill again and immediately start. I had to wait for the old kettle to cool enough for the sensor to let it turn on again. The reason for four stars? It's quite loud. Sure, it's quick, so that maybe counteracts the noise for most, but I really wish they'd used a double wall and it would've been quieter and cooler.Lovely design, nicely made, and hoping it'll last a long time.

Very Attractive Kettle
This is a beautifully designed product. The kettle is well made, and feels reassuringly heavy in the hand, without being cumbersome. In fact, it is beautfully balanced and a joy to hold. The shape is quite 'dumpy' and the capacity, although less than most mainstream kettles, is still easily sufficient for a couple or a small family. The glass is marked with the number of cups on one side, and the capacity (in litres) on the other. It's quite fast to boil, with a 2.4kW rating, helped no doubt by the smaller capacity, which is one litre exactly. The brushed stainless steel and glass combo looks great on the kitchen worktop, and the noise level whilst boiling is not too high. All in all, I am pleased with my purchase, and would certainly recommend this Sage kettle.

Dangerous.
I wanted to love this kettle. The design is slick, it looks good in our kitchen, and it has the critical temperature selection (we do a lot of different teas in this house, so this was important).Unfortunately, it's a very faulty product. The original kettle failed about 10 months in: the lid started to pop open spontaneously, at first only when pouring (still quite dangerous) and then while boiling (far more dangerous). We had cleaned it regularly, but we were told this was likely a sensor issue. Amazon duly replaced the kettle. Now the second one is at about 7 months and exhibiting symptoms of doing the same thing--the lid is starting to pop open when we place the kettle back on its base.Clearly there is a design flaw in these kettles, as neither of us have ever had an issue with a kettle before. Paying £100 twice a year for a kettle would be a bit ridiculous in the long run (or at all).Design-wise, there are a couple of other issues: the inside isn't completely stainless and, despite what the images can lead you to believe, the "windows" are plastic. I would prefer to have no plastic parts in contact with boiling water due to leeching concerns, so this was disappointing to see on a high-end product. Also, the inner rim of the top part of the kettle makes it awkward to clean: you feel as though you have to rinse twice as long once you've descaled it to get all the water out. The black finish on the handle looks cheap against the steel.None of this would have been a deal-breaker if not for the significant faults but we're certainly not getting a third of these kettles--nor, if the quality (lack thereof) is anything to go by, any other Sage product.
