Good quality
Good quality socks, I was concerned at first that they felt a little plastic-y but after wearing them they are perfectly snug and have protected my feet from blisters. They are just thick enough but a little slippery on a hard wood floor, overall though I would recommend these over cotton.

The Bleached Theology of Everyday Footwear
The socks arrive not as garments, but as propositions—two alabaster cylinders of woven inevitability, folded with the sterile confidence of a pharmaceutical artifact and carrying all the emotional resonance of a ceasefire agreement drafted by Scandinavian architects. To describe them merely as “white socks” would be to flatten their ontological ambition into the banality of apparel. These are not socks in the pedestrian sense; they are textile manifestations of late-stage minimalism, tiny cotton republics clinging desperately to the ideal that purity can still exist in a world irrevocably stained by entropy, Merlot, and public transport seating. At first touch, the fabric presents itself with an almost ecclesiastical restraint. There is no flamboyant softness here—no vulgar cashmere-esque seduction begging for approval. Instead, the material offers a calibrated neutrality, as though engineered in a laboratory dedicated exclusively to the tactile interpretation of “competence.” The weave is dense enough to inspire confidence, yet sufficiently breathable to suggest the designers held at least one meeting regarding the existence of feet. Sliding them on is less akin to dressing oneself and more reminiscent of docking a spacecraft: precise, frictionless, quietly triumphant. Visually, the whiteness is extraordinary. Not white in the ordinary domestic sense—this is not the weary off-white of aging electronics or the suspicious ivory of budget hotel towels. No, this is the aggressive, metaphysical white of an Apple Store interior. A white so absolute it appears to reject history itself. Looking directly at them under natural light creates the unsettling impression that they may, at any moment, begin offering opinions on modern architecture or Scandinavian coffee culture. Yet the true genius of these socks lies in their psychological duality. While undeniably utilitarian, they also project an almost tyrannical moral superiority. Wearing them evokes the sensation that one has briefly become the sort of person who owns matching ceramic containers labeled FLOUR and PASTA. They imply routine. Discipline. Hydration. One cannot simply wear these socks while spiraling emotionally or eating shredded cheese directly from the bag; the socks would know, and worse, they would judge. Their performance over time forms a tragic narrative arc worthy of Russian literature. Day one: immaculate transcendence. Day three: subtle greying at the heel, like innocence beginning to comprehend mortality. By week two, despite increasingly desperate laundering rituals, the socks bear faint archaeological evidence of existence itself—a microscopic constellation of floor dust, the ghost of a shoe sole, perhaps the lingering memory of gravel. In this sense, the socks become philosophical objects, charting humanity’s doomed struggle against decay through the medium of anklewear. And still, they persist. The elasticity deserves particular praise. Unlike lesser socks, which either constrict the calf like a Victorian punishment device or collapse into the shoe with the emotional fortitude of wet parchment, these maintain a poised structural integrity. They cling with the quiet assurance of a well-written prenup. Hours into wear, they remain steadfast—neither slipping nor suffocating, merely accompanying. It is companionship without intimacy. One cannot ignore, however, the sociocultural implications of the white sock. It is an item perpetually balanced between irony and sincerity. Paired with trainers, they whisper suburban athleticism. Combined with loafers, they scream “continental nervous breakdown.” Worn intentionally with shorts, they suggest either profound confidence or a complete dissociation from social consequence. The sock itself remains indifferent, transcending aesthetics through sheer cotton absolutism. Ultimately, these white socks achieve something profoundly rare in consumer goods: they exceed their own conceptual limitations. They are at once humble and pretentious, temporary and eternal, practical and faintly authoritarian. To purchase them is to acquire not merely foot coverings, but a fragile ideology stitched together in cotton-thread optimism. Five stars. Though “stars” feels reductive. They deserve a small marble statue in a room with excellent lighting.

Superb quality and very comfortable.
Superb. Very comfortable sock with a lovely feel to them. I know it’s a man’s sock but I’m an elderly woman and I needed a larger sock and one that wasn’t too thick re affecting my shoe fit. . I’m ordering another set.

Comfortable, not durable
It’s comfortable, and doesn’t get very sweaty even if worn for a long time at once. There was however a lot of lint coming off when washing them. Then a week later it ripped at the start of the day, and was shredded by the end. The blisters caused by the fabric scraping with the sole of the shoe weren’t fun.
