The ring freezes quickly and provides a good 15 minutes of "freezing" cold and another 15 minutes of a cool feeling before having to be refrozen in 90 degree heat. I have used them inside and get a good 45 minutes out of them so the ambient temperature does have an expected affect on the duration. Plan ahead and get a few if you're going to be needing them for several hours so you always have a frozen one ready.

I first encountered these neck cooler rings in Japan, and I've been using one for a few months now. Since my daughter had heat stroke, however, I thought it would be good to have a backup.In many ways, this neck cooler is just like the one we got in Japan: it has the most cooling power straight out of the fridge or freezer, but it actually seems to even without being pre-cooled. It's just a nice ring of coolness around your neck, and it REALLY seems to help.Since I hate having things tight around my neck, I had initially worried that this would feel like it was choking me, but, perhaps because of the horseshoe shape, it does not put pressure on my neck in a way that feels uncomfortable. It's more like a damp handkerchief draped around the back of the neck, just without the dripping.The one thing that worries, me, however, is that my unit arrived with an extra clear-plastic sleeve over the seam at the top of the horseshoe. I'm pretty sure that is where the tube is filled, and then they heat-seal the opening. On the one from Japan, this heat-sealed tab is entirely melted shut. On *this unit, however.... ugh, it's so hard to describe I'll just add a picture.It's nice that this neck cooler came with a cute little cooler-bag so you can keep the tube cool for a while out of the fridge, and the tube works as well as my original one. Still, with the oddly sealed top, I'm not sure I'd be quick to buy another one from this brand.

I have several of these neck cooler rings and keep them in my freezer at all times for working in the garden or yard. I find that when I come in for a drink, I will rinse off the one I am wearing, pop it into the freezer, and swap it out for that is already frozen. They last long enough to keep cycling through them throughout the day. I would expect if you only had one, it would be rather useless because you would have to freeze it for about an hour to wear it again and by that time, who has to time to remember to get it back out. They work well and do keep you cool. This one is pretty nice, it comes with a travel bag that is insulated, which is not my use case but it was a nice touch. Comfortable fit for an average woman. I think if you were a beefy guy, this may be tight on you.

I guess it does the job as the kids said it was too cold!Got it for my kid on an upcoming trip where there’s been a heatwave.But she wouldn’t wear it because it was much too cold around her neck.Nice little zippered pouch it came in though but it didn’t seem like it would last too long.

So I have a larger neck and for me it is a little tight, but if you have a smaller neck it might work. I go like the little case that it comes in as well and freezes pretty fast. That being said you really need 2 as wearing one and the other in the freezer and you keep switching them out as they don’t last forever. Overall they are ok, but for my neck just not as great as other options.

This was a little smaller in diameter than I expected. Unfortunately, this limits what this cooling tube can do, since the laws of physics and thermodynamics are pretty predictable. Basically, in the absence of some new magical material, the more mass the longer it will stay cool. There’s just not enough mass here for it to stay cool very long. In the dry, 105 degree F heat I was using it, it managed to stay cool for 10-15 minutes at most. And this is based on a dozen different occasions of wearing it after it was in my freezer all night.On the plus side, it is well made and the outer skin is made of a very durable material, so I didn’t have any leaks or anything. And it’s nice and comfortable to wear. If these came in a pack with a dozen of them, it’d be easy to rotate them out and they’d be fantastic.

This neck cooling tube is very nice to use on a hot day. Lasts about 10-15 minutes, and feels great. Definitely helps to cool me off. I have a few of them in the freezer that I rotate so I can be cool all day long. Highly recommend,

This works pretty good! It lasted about an hour when used indoors. The hi fine care neck cooling tube also comes with a little zipper case, which should prevent the neck cooler from smelling like whatever food is in your freezer. This is a good option for staying cool in the summer if you don't want to deal with having to charge a neck fan! The $13 price isn't bad at all either.
