Very impressed with the quality and appearance of this low profile ceiling fan. As a fairly handy person around the house, I was beyond impressed with the quality of the installation instructions. I mean, they were exceptional - clearly worded with excellent illustrations that match the actual item. Very smart design made it easy to install, too, especially the little tab/hook the unit hangs from while you wire it up - so convenient! I've only just installed it in preparation for summer, but it seems to be of quality construction and when properly attached to a ceiling joist, is rock solid with no wobble. I bought a special joist-fan mounting piece for a few bucks at the hardware store, and the heavy-duty metal bracket supplied with the fan attached to that.I have only a couple minor cons with the fan:-There are some (I guess) air vent holes in the light unit's base (that you don't see with glass cover on) but the light shines up through the holes and illuminates the interior space between the fan and light unit. Not terrible, but oddly noticeable. I put some tape over the holes to block the light, which I hope is not a problem since I'm using LED lightbulbs (which don't get as hot).-Fan blades seem slightly cheap, not quite up to the quality of the rest of the unit, but I guess that's what you get for $129.-Light unit holds only two standard lightbulbs, so it's not as bright as my old fixture that used 3. Good part is they are standard bulb bases so your options are many.Pros:-Awesome installation instructions-Clean, simple, modern styling-Incredibly quiet operation, even on high speed. We can't even hear the motor on lower speeds.-Nice, simple remote control

There was 1 wire that I had that wasn't mentioned in the manual, so be sure to take pictures of your previous wiring before you install this one just in case you have extra wires from the ceiling. (I had a extra pink wire that went together with the light wiring after comparing my picture with the direction). It is SILENT and the lights are bright (warm daylight...not a cool daylight like I thought it was going to be, but I can always switch out the bulbs). Use the remote to turn on the fan and light after setting up because it's originally at the OFF position even when you turn on the wall switch (I thought it was broken after I set everything up until I pressed ON with the remote- be sure the wall switch is set to ON as well...I'm not use to having a remote with a ceiling fan so I forgot lol). The fan comes on a bit slow, but I still love this! Set up took about 1 hour for me, but it said 3-4 hours on average. I had this for about 5 months, still running strong.

The first unit I received was flaky with the remote control and receiver unit.Did not was as expected like the other remote control fan that I have purchased and installed earlier.Called Honeywell Ceiling Fan support and they get me to re-sync the remote control to the fan, which did not help at all. They promised to get back to me with 24-48 hours, but call me back after 4 days! and the support staff is an impatient lot! :((( Nobody care to reply to the email I wrote to them to explain in detail about my fan problem.After giving up on them, I call Amazon, and they quickly arrange for a replacement set. When it arrived, I change out the receiver and the remote control and the fan is now working as expected and happy with my purchase. Thanks to Amazon great services.

I was so upset after this was installed. The motor was loud and it wasn’t giving me the circulation I expected. I had it professionally installed. Thought it would be necessary to return. Then I read the manual and found the problem: it must be on a toggle wall switch and mine was on a dimmer switch. Made the switch and it’s now quiet and moving more air. My only remaining concern is that it operates on just one switch that controls the light and fan. Because I leave the fan on constantly it was necessary to mount the remote so that I can turn on the light when I enter the room. What I like best is the look: it’s minimalist and sleek.

The fan installed easily enough, but the bad battery in the remote made it difficult to test. We had to purchase a replacement battery before deciding if we needed to return the fan. Caused a lot of stress for one small thing. There is no way to see if the fan works without using the remote so it’s pretty important.

Love the look and noise level. I turned a sore bedroom into an office and this looks great for both. I don’t love that you HAVE to use the remote. I’d like to use both the wall switch or remote but overall I would buy it again. Light is a bit dim.

Ok you gotta read this. I ordered these fans after 4 other models. The fans were all nice designs, but the 4 different models and manufacturers used the same remote control unit made by Chungear industrial. I thought it was weird that 4 different models and manufacturers all failed with the remote. (Sometimes it worked, all never would go more than 2 ft to work. I replaced the remote control unit with $13 replacement here on Amazon and it worked flawlessly. So if you bought a fan during this timeframe (about mid May 2021) I suggest your replace the remote unit before returning the whole fan or fans. Good luck!

Awesome has lots of features for the fan and light. Remote looks like a actual light switch so my son doesn’t know it comes out of the holder on the wall to lose it. Also, it has a setting for when you’re not home so it turns on randomly for 5 mins at a time if you set it so that people think someone is home via the light. Amazing super cooling I have vaulted ceilings and ifs the best fan in the home. I’m buying another one

This is a great fan for its price. It’s significantly quieter than my previous ceiling fan and much more modern.The installation was a bit more difficultMany of the wires weren’t really long enough and there weren’t enough grounding wires included, which made it more difficult to complete the wiring process. In addition, some parts weren’t labeled clearly in the instructions, leading to confusion when certain terms were used later in the instructions. They also didn’t clearly indicate what parts of the remote package were to be installed as the receiver, nor did they show where/how to put the remote receiver into the fixture with all of the wires in place.

The light can be controlled by the wall switch if your wiring provides a non-switched feed within the ceiling box.There are now three of these fans in the house. The bright nickle colour along with the light birch colour side of the blades makes for an unobtrusive installation that looks good when it does catch the eye. Quiet operation allows the fan to be on all night above a bed and not disrupt sleep.I installed the first fan following the instructions and have control of the light dimming and fan speed via the remote control. On the subsequent installations, I fed the controller box from a hot wire, non-switched junction that was in the box. I then used the switched hot wire to feed the blue wire that energizes the lights. The remote now controls the fan speed while the existing light switch controls the light. It is non-dimming but that could be changed by swapping the switch for a dimmer. The neutral connects to the controller box. This works great as long as your wiring provides a non-switched feed within the ceiling box.

First time commenting on a product. Not only it's sleek and nice but it's easy to assemble, super quiet, lights dim up and down. Super happy

Easy enough to install. It’s been a few months. So far so great.The bulb that come with is dim though, you might want to get brighter ones before you install it.

Moves tons of air. Light output is decent but not super bright. Yes you can hear it but is not annoyingly noisy. I mainly like the looks of this thing.
