Success! The gasket is fitting perfectly. The creases due to the packaging leveled out after exposing it to the sun for a couple hours. Installation was a bit tricky, because insertion of the rubber lip into the slot was cumbersome. I had to lift the plastic housing of the door a little bit and thereby broke off some of my fingernails. Soapy water as a lubricant was useful. No silicone was needed to fasten the new gasket as the fit was perfect. The manufacturer of the fridge did not supply any replacement gasket and claimed that the gasket cannot be replaced at all. He wanted to sell me the whole door or even a new fridge.

The manufacturing method left the corners much denser than the rest of the gasket. This means that the gasket only seals at the corners and not at the rest (98%) of the gasket. When I closed the door the door the gasket was tight at the corners between the door and refrigerator, but for the entire length of the gasket, there was a 3-4 mm gap on all 3 sides that I could see. I presume the bottom of the door was the same. While the product fit my door well in terms of fitting in the groove, it was unusable due to the lack of sealing the door. My old o(original) seal with a large tear in it works much better. This is a non-returnable item. Don't try it unless its a very last resort.

To be honest the fit takes a while to take form since it comes folded in the package, it's almost a perfect fit. Now I have a fully working mini fridge without any air scaping. It seals shut, better than the gasket it came with...

good fit. i have to push it a little to get it to fully seal but it Fully Seals now where my old one had big gaps. i think it will stretch into place shortly. measure carefully and know you have to squeeze it in a little: it almost looked too wide but it was Not. so much better.

Gasket is not wide enough and not thick enough to function as needed and like the original gasket.

Overall, not a great bet. I bought two for a commercial fridge. One worked perfectly and one had a small defect that created a leak in the seal. There's no way to reach out to the company directly for a warranty or anything, so I had to go through Amazon. The only option was take a refund and buy a new one, so I did that. The next one I bought was completely different and the wrong dimensions. Different color, different shape, and too large for my door. At least Amazon refunded that one as well, but I'd rather have a working fridge seal for my business.

I was expecting exactly the same gasket material that I had originally but that may be my own fault for not looking at the example they had on the product.So when I got it a week early it was nice to have and it was the size I asked for , it was not white like I requested so it’s gray not a great thing but it’s better than no gasket at all. It’s been on the fridge and it’s starting to grow on me. It’s not likely to last decades but I’m thinking it will probably make it at least 7-10 years, it’s very flexible and soft just much much less material , I tried to look at like you don’t see the gasket when the doors is closed so I suppose it doesn’t matter , the fridge is nearly 30 years old and it runs excellent so no point in buying new stuff that won’t last no time.At first I thought this will never keep keep the fridge cold enough without running Nonstop but I was wrong it has done an excellent job it took about 3 days for the. Magnet and the gasket to form to the door and create a real vacuum and stick to the steel frame like it should. I’m now able to turn the freezer way down and the fridge easily cools around 33 degrees if I want it too without wasting electricity. So for the money which was about 56 in my case for a 18x62.5 was a fair price I’d definitely buy it again if the fridge was still running .It sure beats loosing a good refrigerator over a gasket that you can’t buy on the market anymore.
