Bold, rich flavor

I purchased the 2 lb. Bag of French Roast hoping to find a rich, bold, coffee so characteristic of a french roast. Unfortunately this is a hugely weak blend of coffee - even after adding a very significant amount of extra beans. The color remains light and the coffee flavor is very in keeping with that. Wish I could recommend this coffee but I am afraid I can not.

The bridge image sure looks like the Golden Gate Bridge. And this sure looks like, well, French roast coffee. But it's like something you see in a thick fog near the old wharves along the bay. How much is real? How much is wishful thinking?For the money, it's likely to be a good deal for most. But for anyone seeking that rare, deep and vibrant SF French roast flavor, this could be a disappointment.But considering the few double French products out there, and the price, it's certainly worth a try.We've bought it several times, each time hoping the roasters had waited a few more minutes. And each time disappointed.Ummmm.... as to the "thickness" question above, it's water. Not Jello or spackling. Odd thing for Amazon to ask.

I've been drinking hazelnut coffee for years and have tried many different brands. Took a chance with this one and it doesn't have much hazelnut flavor.

This is a product that is almost the same as Peerless coffee. The only real difference is that the Peerless is a light roast and the Landmark is a medium roast. I actually prefer the richer flavor.
