Alright so to begin I just recently bought an ipad pro 12.9 inch 2018 edition (the newest one) and I didn't want to buy some expensive dongle through Apple. So what did I do? I came across this listing for the price it is nice! you get two of them? yes please. I ended up ordering this product and the reviews were relatively good. If you don't online shop often just a tip but always read the reviews so you know what you're ending up with from people who have already purchased the product. Anyway, this product is everything I needed for an affordable price as you know ipads normally need a dongle to plug in pretty much anything USB related. I use my ipad as my main computing device for the most part. I use it for recording podcasts with my Yeti microphone and use garage band. I use these on both my new ipad and my macbook pro. They work like a charm and everything connects easily. I haven't had any issues yet and the material of this product is super nice it actually feels like your purchased something. The quality is a lot nicer than others that's for sure. I would highly suggest this product if you need a USB C to USB adapter for either a microphone, external hard drive, or USB sticks. UPDATED (Original 3 Star Review Below) After my initial review, Sytech reached out to me saying they have a new batch of cables with improved housing that won't affect a 2.4 GHz wifi signal. They sent the new cables and they work perfectly. They are sturdy and work perfectly on all wifi channels. What is really impressive is how wonderful their customer service is. They are friendly, courteous, and willing to work with you. I was traveling from the U.S. to the U.K. around the same time as the expected delivery. Syntec was able to rush the order to make sure that the cables arrived while I was still in the U.S. In short, Syntech behaved exactly how I would hope they would. They acknowledged the item didn't suit my needs, accepted responsibility, and freely offered to make it right. That's more than I expected for a couple of $10 cables. Thanks, Syntech. You've got a customer for life. (Original Review) Dear Syntech, While I like your product for connectivity speed and it's solid craftsmanship, I've encountered a pretty hefty flaw. My main use for the cable is to connect my external Seagate hard drive which uses a USB 3 to my Mac which uses a USB C, but when I do so and am on a 2.4 GHz wifi connection, I get kicked off the wifi. I've tried this at my home and at my office with the same results. In troubleshooting this issue, I came across some information that the noise from USB 3.0 data spectrum can be high (in the 2.4-2.5GHz range). Any effect this would have on a 2.4 wifi is usually nullified by the cable's housing. Have I received 2 faulty cables, or is this simply a design flaw? I should also mention that while on a 5 GHz wifi connection, the cables work fine and there is no interference. Again, I think the cables are great in every other respect. Will you accept a return or exchange without the original packaging? You'll be out a cardboard box, but you'll have a customer for life!

I do not find the cable between the interfaces to be a help. Product works as advertised, tho

As many of us are transitioning to the USB-C port we realize just how many "legacy" devices we have (and still must use). Syntech fills this need with quite a few adapters to aid us. I have tested these 6" sturdy cables with my shiny new MacBook Pro 16" and all my devices work fine. Thumb drives, WD hard drives, LG CD disk player, Sabrent 3.5" floppy disk drive (don't ask), and a V.TOP USB Audio Capture adapter (RCA to USB). USB-2.0 and USB 3.0 SuperSpeed all work fine. No drivers required - they just work. Can't ask for more than that. I also have 2 of Syntech' s Type C to USB-A Converters. Both of these are available on Amazon. Maybe best of all, these gadgets are less than $10 (for more than one in a pack). It is actually reasonable to get these adapters for each device and just leave them connected if you like. So if you need to go from old to new, or new to old Syntech has solutions.

It’s a cable adapter. It arrived very quickly and on time, looks to be well made and it works. I’ve had it three days so can’t rate durability/sturdiness.
