THICK, STURDY, STAYS IN PLACE, IT IS EXCELLENT
I HAVE USED THIS MAT SEVERAL TIMES FOR BREAD MAKING. IT WORKS MUCH BETTER THAN MY GRANITE COUNTERTOP. ONCE IT IS LIGHTLY COATED WITH FLOUR, IT IS VIRTUALLY NON-STICK. IT IS EASY TO CLEAN, AND ROLLS UP FOR STORAGE. I LIKE IT!

Perfect Size
I like the size of this pastry mat. It covers the entire counter space where I usually do my baking. I like that I can make a mess and clean up easily by lifting the mat to the sink. The silicone material is great albeit a little thinner than my current one. It does not make any difference though. The mat stays put when I knead dough on it. It holds the bowl in place when mixing, and protects the counter surface from scratches. What is there not to love about this mat?I am not good at rolling dough into rounds, so the dough size guide printed on the mat is helpful. We made Chinese buns using one of the small circles for sizing rather than weighing each bun. The buns came out uniformly. The $20 price tag is reasonable for a silicone mat of this size. My smaller silicone mat costs a lot more.

Great size and thickness!
This large silicon mat (3 ft x 2 ft) is perfect for my cooking and baking needs. The large size permits easy kneading of dough without creating a floury mess outside the mat. Also, I can knead and roll out dough without using much oil to prevent sticking. I make pita bread quite often, and this large size permits me to roll out the pitas and let them proof on the mat before cooking.I love the thickness of this mat! I also love that the seller specified the actual thickness of the mat (0.7mm) in the product advertisement! This vital information is very often missing in silicone mats from other brands. I always look for this information on silicone mats because thickness definitely impacts the quality and function of the mat. The thickness of this mat is ideal to keep the mat in place on the countertop while kneading, and to prevent wrinkling or lifting up when rolling dough.Cleaning this mat is quite easy. I first wipe it clean with a warm/hot soapy sponge and then follow it up by multiple wipes with a clean wet sponge. This mat will be very useful for anyone who loves baking cookies (especially on a large scale during the holidays) or for working with pita or bread dough on a regular basis. I recommend this product for its size, thickness and overall quality!

So big it is awkward
A friend recently pointed out to me how easily he was able to roll out pastry dough using silpad. I make pie dough pretty often and always dislike the struggle of keeping dough from sticking to the parchment paper I use to roll it out. So on his revelation I looked for and found this mat without grasping the significance of its size. I used it yesterday for the first time by doubling over the mat on top of the dough and using a rolling pin to really mash the dough flat. I put all my faith into the silicone and didn't sprinkle any flour on the surfaces. That turned out to be mistake I could easily correct next time because I was disappointed that the dough still stuck to the mat enough to be annoying and somewhat destructive to the result. The real pain in the entire operation is what an ordeal it became to clean up the mat afterwards. It is so large you can't just put it in the sink and do your thing. By the time I finished getting all the stuck dough free and confidently washed the surface there was water all over the floor and lingering doubt if I really got the mat cleaned thoroughly enough to put it away. If your kitchen counter spaces are huge and you can spread the mat out despite a mountain of debris left over from all the equipment you drag out when you are cooking something that requires pie dough you will love the expanse the mat provides but I think I will have to sell my house and focus on finding that kind of kitchen before I can relax about using this mat again. (AHA! Unless I cut it in half)

Very happy with this
Wow, this thing is BIG. It's perfect for my needs: kneading, pizza making, rolling out pastry, etc. This is a thick, higher grade, fiberglass reinforced silicone mat, not that thin, flimsy kind that slides around and tears up after a year or so. Properly stored, this pastry mat should give years of service. This mat stays exactly where you put it, and it does not wrinkle up while you knead or roll dough. The markings are bold and easy to read, I appreciate having F/C conversions and metric conversions in the top corners for quick reference. While the description says the mat is dishwasher safe, and that is technically true, I have no clue how anyone would get this into a dishwasher in any way that makes sense. Besides, it's very easy to wipe clean with a soapy cloth and rinse in the sink. Then wipe it dry, roll it up, and you're done.Very happy with this mat. It's nice when a product exceeds your expectations.

Helps with my baking
My center island, which is where I do most of my baking, has tile on the top. This keeps me from being about to roll pastries out properly. Up to now, I've been using flat cutting boards and lining them up for a smooth surface. I saw this and thought it might be a good alternative. Not only is it big enough for pie crusts and cookies, but it's thick enough to give me a very smooth working surface. Plus it rolls back up for storage. I also like the measurements on the front - not only to help roll out crusts and dough to uniform sizing, but also conversions from cups to grams. I will be using this for the entire season!

VERY non-slip so it's great for all types of doughs including stiff doughs, great for kneading.
This is made with a silicon surface (both sides) but is not made to place oven or burner hot cookware on it or it will be damaged. I used a 9" pie pan in one picture showing it is to scale. Also it is not a cutting mat so do not use for cutting / chopping. It includes conversion tables imprinted on the front for Standard and Metric measurement and heat conversion. The extra large surface coverage comes in handy for larger dough projects as well and to help keep your table / counter tops clean.
