the best sunscreen for the best price
My family is extremely picky about sunscreen, so finding one we all agree on is rare. This one checks every box. First, the texture is excellent. It’s a very light “sun milk” that spreads easily and absorbs quickly without leaving any greasy or sticky feeling. The finish is completely natural—no shine, no heavy film, and no white cast, which is something mineral sunscreens often struggle with. Second, it’s genuinely pleasant to wear every day. There’s virtually no scent, which makes a huge difference if you’re sensitive to fragranced sunscreens. Once it’s on, you simply forget about it. Performance has been great as well. It provides SPF 50+ broad-spectrum protection while still feeling light and comfortable on the skin. It layers well under makeup and doesn’t pill. What stood out: • Completely invisible finish (no cast) • No sunscreen smell • No greasy shine • Lightweight and comfortable for daily use • Works well under makeup If you’re as fussy about sunscreen as we are—and have struggled to find one that feels good enough to use every day—this one is excellent.

Lightweight, reliable sunscreen I keep coming back to
I’ve been using this sunscreen for a long time and I always end up coming back to it. The texture is very lightweight and fluid, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t leave my skin feeling heavy or greasy. It blends easily, leaves no white cast at all (which is extremely important to me), and works perfectly under makeup. I have sensitive, dry skin and this sunscreen has never irritated me or caused breakouts. What I really appreciate is how comfortable it feels throughout the day. It doesn’t pill, doesn’t sting my eyes, and it gives a natural finish that looks good whether I’m wearing makeup or not. It’s one of those products you can apply in the morning and forget about because it just does its job quietly and well. I’ve tried many sunscreens over the years, especially Korean ones, and this is one of the most consistent formulas I’ve used. For the price and quality, it’s absolutely worth it, and I would repurchase it without hesitation. There’s really no excuse not to wear sunscreen when products like this exist.

Can't believe a mineral sunscreen can go on so well! But it does! It really does!
I have to use mineral sunscreens as I am pale as a ghost and was diagnosed with melanoma a few years ago. Luckily I'm clear of it now, but if you develop one melanoma, you have a very good chance of having another one. Mineral sunscreens' active ingredient (usually zinc oxide) does not degrade in the bottle or on your skin and it provides both A & B coverage. So I slather it on every day, rain or shine, But oh what a slog. I have been through so many. It's usually like smearing not quite room temperature butter over your skin, it's impossible to blend in and feels like a sticky mess. Trying to put on makeup over is not much fun either as it either grips it and won't allow you to blend it, or it smears all over. And I know I'm white as a piece of paper, but these sunscreens are whiter than me. And it shows. I've found a couple of good ones over the years, but they always change the formula to add something like Alumina - which has given me terrible chemical burns (I'd prefer a sunburn) or Octocrylene, which has been identified as a health hazard and is actually banned in some countries. While Etude Surprise has neither of these ingredients, I felt like kicking myself when the bottle arrived. It was sooooo small. For $17.00? I was mad at myself for not checking how much product I'd get. Now I am SOOOO glad I did not check because I never would have bought Etude Surprise and I would have missed out on this stellar sunscreen. You have to shake the bottle to be sure the product is well mixed, but once you do it comes out as a light liquid - which seems wrong because most sunscreens are so different - until you apply it to your skin. It smooths on and spreads to cover brilliantly. No white cast at all. It dries down (and after just the right amount of time so you can cover your skin easily, but still put on makeup right away) to....well, what looks and feels like your healthy natural skin. I suppose it's slightly matte, because I wasn't greasy like a pig or shining like a disco ball. But it didn't feel dry or tight, just comfortable. And I don't think I've put on makeup this easily, using such small amounts, with full color and coverage payoff - and absolutely NO smearing or stuck clumpy product. I look beautiful, if I must say so myself. This will be my sunscreen forever (unless they change the formula) and I beg them never ever to do such a thing!

Love this sunscreen!
I love this sunscreen. I have repurchased this several times now, which is saying something in itself. I get good coverage and adequate sun protection from this, AND it plays well with my skincare and makeup! I have tried many facial sunscreens, and this is the best I’ve found for my needs. I’m in my mid-40s now, and have known the importance of protecting skin from the sun for a good while now, and I don’t want ANY color, as that would mean damage to the skin. I wear this year round. In the winter I’m not outside much as it’s too cold here, but I wear sunscreen every day anyway, as I work at a school and go out for recess twice a day. In the summer I of course use this sunscreen, but I also usually wear a hat with a brim to keep as much sun off my face as possible. This sunscreen has never caused me to break out, and has never pilled over my serums or under my foundation. It even feels pretty good on, and not too greasy. I’ll be buying it regularly.

Its decent
I have been having trouble finding a sunscreen without Avobenzone (makes me rashy) so I got this one as a mineral backup while I look for a chemical one that actually works for me. Its fine. It absolutely does have a white cast, as do ALL mineral sunscreens. It also does pill if you let it dry down before applying makeup which you should be doing. It works OK with my cushion foundation over it and a very light touch with cream blush. I have normal to dry skin and the finish is not what I would consider dewy, but it is not super matte either. Its an affordable option and does not irritate my skin so Im happy with it altogether. It has a thin consistency but you still need 1/4 tsp for adequate protection.

Spoiled Product
I got the 2 pack. The packaging was intact and it did not appear to be expired. However the consistency was runny and it smelled like a mildewed bath rug when I put it on my face. I threw away the first bottle, hoping it was just one bad one. But the second bottle is the same. It’s going in the trash, too. I’m so disappointed because this was my favorite sunscreen.

True Mineral Sunscreen That's Excellent!
I’m 52 and post-menopausal with mature, dry skin, and this ETUDE Sunprise Mild Sun Milk has been a really pleasant surprise. I’m very particular about mineral sunscreens because many of them feel heavy, chalky, or leave an obvious white cast, and this one does none of that. This is a true mineral sunscreen, but the texture is lightweight and comfortable on the skin. It spreads easily, absorbs well, and leaves a smooth, natural finish that feels good throughout the day. I was especially impressed that there’s no visible white cast once it’s applied, which can be hard to find with mineral formulas. The finish is soft and non-sticky, making it easy to wear daily and comfortable under makeup. It doesn’t feel greasy or suffocating, and my skin stays calm and balanced while wearing it. Even with repeated use, it hasn’t irritated my skin or caused dryness. Overall, this is an excellent mineral sunscreen that feels modern and wearable rather than heavy or outdated. If you’re looking for a true mineral SPF that looks good on the skin and feels pleasant to use, this is a great option. I would absolutely repurchase it.

Great for the price, does not irritate eyes!
Perfect for the price especially if used under a light setting powder to last all day. Does have a VERY slight white cast at first but eventually will melt into the skin. Does not irritate eyes. Usually my eyes are very easily irritated by even the mildest sunscreens. I have tried lots of sunscreens, and ones that say they don't contain irritants still cause lots of pain for me. This does not. I have not tried at the beach and since this one is not waterproof, I probably won't, but for daily everyday use this is amazing.
