Cobra RAD 700i Laser Radar Detector with Premium Detection, AutoLearn Intelligence, Advanced Filtering, Drive Smarter App, Laser Eye Front/Rear Detection - Black

Testing from UK, so far so good. Far better range than the 480i. However I was told that Cobra wouldn't warranty it, because it hadn't been tested in the UK. So I had to purchase an Amazon insurance at the price of £14 for 2 years. Recommend anyone else to do the same because my other detector, the 480i become faulty within 4 months and after a lot of hassle cobra finally sent me a replacement 'as a good will gesture'

This came via Amazon US to use in the UK. Very sturdy and professional looking device. The app is a bit hit and miss but that doesn't really matter. Plenty of adjustments. Minimum false alerts. Visibility is fine. I have mine set on yellow but it's nice to have different colours to choose from. Excellent sturdy mounting bracket and easy to detach.

Can't judge if it's effective and accurately detects fast cameras, often have fixed fast cameras it doesn't give a warning (maybe the camera isn't activated), but often doesn't issue a warning (maybe a camouflaged police car radar, but can't confirm it), so can't judge whether it works, trust 10% waze90%

At first it was going off too often but after a bit, (I had to actually read how to make it less jumpy) it worked well and lets me know way ahead of time if there’s something ahead. (Obviously I never drive over the posted speed limit, but it alerts me so that I can be prepared for the other drivers to make drastic maneuvers trying to avoid getting caught doing whatever they may or may not be doing)

It works okay, it does only detect if police have there scanners on.

This bundle is priced right and it works pretty well. It already paid for itself as I avoided a few tickets already.

BE CAREFUL USING 3RD PARTY POWER CABLES. I spent 2 days trying to figure out why it would power up, but not actually function. Come to find out the usb-a cable I was using was just too old and not strong enough. Comes with a cigarette lighter power cable, so make sure you have a decent usb-a cable to property power it and update. Aside from that minor issue(which was my own fault) its an absolutely phenomenal radar detector for the price, this isnt the "best of the best" but its pretty dang comparable honestly, for much cheaper. My only complaint isnt actually with the radar detector itself but the smart app that you can(optionally) use with the detector. It frequently disconnects and reconnects making a "doorbell" chime. And again thats more the 3rd party app than the radar.
