This is the first protein shake where I enjoy the flavor! I use cold filtered water, about 10-12 ounces, a bit of crushed ice, with 2 scoops of the powder and mix by hand in my drink shaker for about 20 seconds. It tastes great. Blended perfectly. I’m nearly done with my first container and have not experienced any chalky taste as some others have reported. To me, I taste the birthday cake flavor, and it is not too intense. I also don’t find it too sweet as others have reported. It has just the right balance of flavor. I do think using cold water and bit of crushed ice helps versus warm or room temp water, a some have reported just using room temperature water. It does have only 21 g of protein which is less than some others. But you could add soy or almond, etc. milk to make up a bit of the difference. I have not tried that yet. Too me, the bit less of protein is worth enjoying the taste, and drinking it regularly, as with others I would have to force it down. I drink this shake for any meal, as a snack or post workout drink. I have noticed a craving satisfied after drinking this shake, like my body was craving its nutrients. Eating plant based, I find it’s hard to feel full and satisfied. This shake seems to do the trick for me. My second container just arrived. Go buy and try the birthday cake protein shake!

This. Is. So. So. So. Yummy. Literally, I can not stop eating this. I pair a scoop or two with Greek yogurt or plain yogurt and I think I am eating a treat! I have purchased this protein powder and other Orgain powders several times in the past month alone. 5 stars +++

Not for me. Unfortunately it SMELLS like a delicious vanilla cake, but it tastes like straight up stevia (which I’m not a fan of as a sweetener) slightly chalky consistency and with a serving being two heaping scoops, it doesn’t blend well into a smoothie or iced coffee or anything to mask the strong taste because it’s like drinking cement. I’m just going to force myself to get used to it for the gains but spare yourself the hardship I’m enduring 😂

Tastes like vanilla, and if I had to compare flavor with another product, premier protein cake batter tastes like a cake. This one is nothing like a cake. But It’s not a bad taste, if you mix it well and with cold water instead of room temp lol it’s less grainy, actually it’s not grainy at all when using a cold water. I made a mistake using a room temp bottled water. I used a shaker cup so I will say it mixed well. Drinking this fist thing in the morning along with a hard boiled egg, will definitely make you less hungry, I do noticed I’m not eating like a mad woman. 21g for the price is actually pretty good.

Taste so good I just add some milk and half a banana to my smoothies with this protein powder and it tastes just like a sweet treat.

The 3 star rating is for the brand and the amount of protein in this powder. The birthday cake flavor is not good at all. I'm not even kidding, it tastes what I believe playdoh would taste like.

Delicious! One of the best protein shake powders I have tried and I will keep repurchasing this one for sure!
