Recliner headrest pillow with B-shaped Memory Foam - easy hook-up, washable!
My favorite seat in the house is my power recliner, which sits in our bedroom, and acts as my “off hours” desk chair, my “napping” station, and especially the command chair in my “reading nook”. Ok, I promise no more quotes this review.EPHEDORA’s memory foam headrest pillow is designed for recliners (power or manual), and it has some interesting and unique features, especially the shape in the front and the tail in the back, that includes storage space for common items you might need close by. For me, the pockets fit my writing pad (or two), a pen/stylus, and a remote. It’s not the MOST practical placement of a storage pocket, since it is behind your head, but for a few extra items you might need nearby, it’s a BONUS feature. The other features, like the memory foam, and that B-shape pillow, make comfortable for long stretches of time. I can even sleep in comfort now, with no worries I’ll wake up with a crick in my neck! The pillow is held in place by an elastic strap that snuggly holds it in place, so there is no untoward movement, up/down or sideways. I’m sure this is dependent on the depth of your recliner back, though the elastic seems tight on my chair.Another thoughtful feature, which unfortunately I can’t use because my pillow sits on top of my recliner cover, is a Velcro backed strip on the pocket side of the pillow. You can stick the long panel on your recliner back, and the pocket panel will stay in place. I’ve noticed, even without securing the back panel to my chair, it still stays in place, and even more so when it has contents.

Skeptical At First
My wife ordered this pillow for me. I have neck issues galore and need good cervical support while sleeping and lounging. I'm used to creating a tetris of pillows to properly support the areas I need. The challenge in a reclining chair is that they fall down and out of place with movement or when sitting upright. This pillow changed that. It has an elastic strap that keeps it in place. I have it on a leather reclining chair so I don't have a material to attach the velcro to. But the pillow stays in place. It hasn't once fallen off. I can pull it down or push it up to position where I need it - and it stays.I'm very happy with this pillow for the utlity it provides. I do wish it looked a bit more stylish though.

Way too thick to be comfortable, includes pockets that you can't actually reach.
First of all, no instructions at all come with this headrest, so I strongly suggest you don't give it as a gift unless you provide a link to the product page so they can look at the images that have some description. Now, It DOES seem to be made with quality materials. The pillow itself is identical to the memory foam pillows I have gotten as a freebee's when purchasing bedding, or at CVS on the promotional shelves. Those I have always found way too thick for comfort also.It has an elastic band that may or may not actually fit around your recliner. It doesn't fit around mine, but that is ok since the pillow is way too thick for me and I discovered it just forces my chin into my chest, which is anything but comfortable. I played around with it & discovered he only way it's even remotely comfortable is if I turn the pillow upside down with the thinner part behind my neck, the larger top just sticks up in the air - which then means it's not connected to the chair at all, so it's just a slightly too big pillow that will fall off when you lean forward, just like any other throw pillow.Turning it backwards also means that I am then leaning against the piece that I believe is supposed to counter balance it by hanging down the back. Since there are some really oddly placed pockets on the back that there is no way the user could ever reach, maybe they would work to put some weights in to keep the pillow from sliding?? Other than that, only my cat did find those things dangling down somewhat fun to play with.Sorry to say, I just can't recommend this.

Overall Good
It does it's job and functions as shown in the list so I certainly can't give it less than a 4, especially when my reason for not liking it is just a weird personal thing I suppose. I just don't like the crushed velvet cover. I don't really like the look of crushed velvet personally, but it also, from expierience, does not age well. Especially when you have your young nieces and nephews over often that somehow always have something on their hands, often spit mixed with whatever they were eating thanks to using their mouth like a pocket, and their nose like a pocket... It tends to be hard to get stuff out of it and washing machines can wear it down quickly. But if you don't have a bunch of gross kids(I love them and all but they're disgusting) running around, it shouldn't be an issue since I had no problem with the pillow or overall structure of the product. Techinically it's already worn out because my dog took a liking to it making sort of dogbed out of it, so I just cut of the elastic band off and let him have his new favorite couch spot. It worked out.

Now that's comfort!
Due to back and arthritis issues, I often sleep in my power-lift recliner. I love that chair -- except for the headrest, which is a bit too small and recessed. Until I got this Ephedora pillow, I've been forced to stack one or two pillows on the headrest and hope that they remain in place through the night. That concern -- and the discomfort -- are in the past since I ordered this Headrest Pillow. It's easy to position it exactly where I want it, the elastic strap secures it in place securely, and the cover flap hides most of the strap assembly from view. I haven't needed to wash the zippered cover yet, but it's strongly made from sturdy fabric, and I anticipate that it will stand up well to machine washing.
