Excellent pen, especially for the price! I have been a fountain pen fan for 40 plus years and I ordered this one to try out. I want to get a couple of pens for Christmas gifts for coworkers. I wanted a pen that looked good, felt good, and (of course) wrote nicely without skipping or scratching. I’ve always used a converter in the past but I wanted something that could use cartridges or a converter, and I didn’t want proprietary (expensive) cartridges. Converters could be more trouble and potentially messier than my potential recipients might be ready for, so cartridges needed to be an option. I ordered the Ellington pen and I was immediately impressed with the attractive packaging, a factor to consider in a gift. I opened it up and it’s a very nice looking pen, has a nice fit and finish. It comes with a converter and three cartridges. I installed a black ink cartridge and grabbed a piece of paper to try it out. Ink flowed as soon as the nib touched the paper. The nib glides across the paper, no scratching or skipping. It’s a beautiful pen, well made and well balanced. I will be ordering two more for Christmas gifts but this one I am keeping for myself.

I've just started getting into fountain pens and I am really satisfied with the quality of this pen. The cap has a good weight that helps when I keep it on the back of the pen. I got the EF nib. The ink flows well but the lines are still fine and dark. Took a couple of days until I could get the angle right, but now my writing looks and feels very satisfying. Highly recommend for new fountain pen users like me.

Wow! What a great pen. I am somewhat of a fountain pen snob and have had a hard time finding the PERFECT pen for me. Well, look no further. I bought the Stealth edition and couldn’t be happier. No dripping or smearing and the pen is comfortable in my hand. I like it so much that I am going to order a second one.

This is my first fountain pen and I love it. Almost at once,it has become my elegant writing companion. There's pleasure in the snap of the cap coming off and on. Initially, I found the pen too heavy, but this was solved by removing the weighty brass tip. Minus the tip, the weight is perfect. I chose extra fine nib and am eager to try others. Happy writing awaits one with the Ellington Pen!

I own a dozen fountain pens form new ones to cherished antique pens and use them regularly. This pen has gone to the top of the rotation; in fact, it has taken over leaving the others in their cases. The smooth nib is remarkable and writes like a well broken in gold nib. I just am shocked how well made it is and such a pleasure to use.

I was really sad with this pen as it was really dry and hard to write with. There was mostly no ink flow from the tip of the nib. It was a good pen in terms of size and weight. It felt good to write with. IDK if I should return it or just buy a new nib. I bought a nib from the direct website coz I wanted the dark pink in EF nib too. No matter what I do I do not like the way this one writes.

This pen feels pretty good, no weight to it but not light for a smooth even writing. Only reason I am not giving it a 5 is because I got the extra fine nib, yet it looks bolder than my fine nib. I’ve tried the cartridge it came with but also a high quality ink I use in my other pens, and both give a fine to medium feel rather than extra fine. Only way to make it extra fine is to hold it upside down.
