Give it a chance!
I am a VERY violent sleeper ๐ and I never thought this would stay on, but it does! I wear it in a top knot when I sleep and I wake up with it still in tact. I have thin, mixed race hair that I use heat on and bleach. My hair has shown WAY less breakage to the point where my very opinionated hair dresser is finally singing my praises. As with anything new, you have to give it a chance. If youโre not use to wearing something on your head while you sleep, guess what, you have to get used to wearing something on your head while you sleep. Itโs definitely not uncomfortable and surprisingly breathable!

Stretches out way too easily
I've been using this for over a year now, so I felt I could give an accurate review. I ordered this in black. At the time, I had long hair that when blown out was probably at least mid back. During a moment, I later cut my hair to my ears. It's grown out about half way to where it was when I first ordered this in that year and a half. And no, it's not due to this thing. My hair just grows quickly especially if I protect it and take care of it as I should. I saw no extra growth from using this vs a regular bonnet or satin scarf.Originally, I ordered it because I had long thick curly hair, longer when straight, and when straight, couldn't easily wrap it. Using or doing anything else left a bump in my hair. But, I sleep with my hair wrapped or in a bonnet. So what to do? Enter this product. It does what it says it does, especially for braids and such. The only negatives I have is that it is easily over priced by 10-15 dollars given that it stretches out way too easily and for what it's made of. It's not like this is silk or satin. It's a lycra mix. And like I said, it stretches out easily. After just over 1.5 years use not even washing it will shrink it down to size. So now when my hair is straight this will slide right off. Doesn't even hold. If my hair is in it's naturally curly state, I wake up with the bonnet half on half off. I've had to start wearing a wig grip or something else underneath to keep it in place. Defeats the purpose really. I probably would not buy it again if given the chance, based on the price and the stretching.

Much Better Than Expected!
After illness and a couple of surgeries last year, my naturally-curly hair became more brittle and prone to breakage. A few months ago, I started looking for scarves/covers to wear at night to help keep it from getting snarled or pulled on.I actually bought two different items, one that was significantly less expensive and this one. Honestly, this was more than I wanted to spend, and I thought I would probably end up sending the Little Black Scarf back because of it.I'm glad I decided to try it first, because it is definitely the superior product. It can be worn in a number of different ways. It works great with dry hair or wet hair. It's easy to wash. And most importantly, it does not fall off of my head!! (The other item I bought falls off constantly and is basically worthless.) My hair goes about halfway down my back, and all fits well into the Little Black Scarf.I've been wearing it almost every night for the past two months, and I've had none of the issues others have mentioned with the elasticity giving out or it being too tight. (Maybe they've changed the design or materials since then?) All in all, I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

So far so good...still pretty cool.
Wearing it to bed now. Slept a few hours in it and its still on. Will try on my 9 yr olds head and update later.About a month later: I still like it a lot but alas, there is some slippage by the time I wake up in the morning. Talking to in under the back of cat helps a little but leaving it lose tends to pull a little when you lay down. I still think it's a great idea for people who want to sleep with their straightened hair loose and not in a wrap, or something pinned up. Maybe if there was a way to adjust it?

Buy One!
I thought my hair just didn't grow. Then I realized it does grow, it just kept breaking off at the ends. Not anymore thanks to this scarf! At first I didn't know if I'd like it, because the elastic at the front put pressure on my temples and gave me a slight headache (headbands do the same thing to me). I kept wearing it, because it is a lot more convenient than wrapping my hair and tying a scarf around it that falls off midway through the night. I'm SO glad I kept wearing it, my head got used to it (no more headaches) and best of all, my hair is growing and I'm keeping the length! I also have a regimen, so I'm sure that helps too (Keratin Complex smoothing treatments I do at home, to stretch relaxers out, and GVP It's a 10 conditioner from Sally's, along with One 'N Only Argan oil and GVP silk infusion prior to blow drying). All together, my hair is finally past my shoulders for the first time in my life, and I'm excited for it to keep going!

Cute but not so effective
I like the idea of this scarf. I went to the website and watched the video on how to wrap it several ways. And I would have loved to buy more if the stretch hadn't loosened in just a few uses. This was very frustrating for a pretty expensive scarf. Because I know how to sew I can salvage the purchase and make a new seam to make it tighter.

and it is honestly one of the best things that has happened to me recently
I was at my wit's end when I found this product. My traditional way of wrapping was starting to fail me, and I was having serious breakage around the edges. I have been natural for four years now, and was actually considering relaxing my hair again because I didn't know what to do. I've had my scarf for a few days now, and it is honestly one of the best things that has happened to me recently! It's so easy to use. My hair comes out smooth and bouncy the next day. No longer do I have to struggle with a brush and multiple scarves. Also, the scarf is much longer than it appears in any of the pictures. I love it! If it does happen to stretch out in the future, I'll simply buy another one- it's that good.

Love it!
I really like the Little Black Scarf. Nothing else has stayed on my head the entire night. Unfortunately, I left it in a hotel. I went to repurchase, but it was out of stock. Luckily, it is now in stock. I definitely recommend it for long or short hair.
