Really effective.
These sachets are a lifesaver when you're having long term bowel trouble. Really easy to drink as the taste is good and they don't have that gritty texture like other brands do. I felt that they worked really well to keep you going to the toilet regularly and provided relief from constipation. Value for money could be better but I guess that's just the price of things these days!

They work - slow and gentle
These work! This are a lot more gentle and I take 2 sachets in the next day they help soften everything. Not as explosive as some of the laxatives out there! General slower approach but definitely work in a day or so. Taste is fine, and easy to use. Definitely recommend :)

Can be effective, but difficult to dissolve.
I am currently suffering from increasing bone pain; pelvic, shoulder blade, shin bones, etc. Consequently, until I can get properly assessed, I need to take a lot of pain killers, which are possibly the cause of my constipation. I've tried Syrup of Figs, and also Dates, prior to my main meal. I also eat Walnuts and Almonds, for fibre, with my main meal, but nothing has really worked. In desperation, I tried these Movicol Ease Stick Sachets, which had no effect, at first, but having now used 10 ratchets, do seem to have significantly improved my bowel movements, lately. However, be careful when taking them, as in my experience, it can quickly turn from 'famine to feast'. :O( I now only dissolve one ratchet into water, and then add this mixture into my protein shake, which I take most lunchtimes. Apparently, ingesting protein without fibre, can cause constipation. PROS: The mild Lemon flavour is acceptable. CONS: The powder can difficult to dissolve. I find that pouring the powder into a dry container, and then quickly pouring the ¼ pint of water in, on top of it, works best. But it still can clump together, and I need to wait a few minutes, for it to eventually dissolve. Not a good thing, when you are in a hurry. Strangely, stirring doesn't seem to speed up this process. I'm not sure if it would be possible, but from the mixing point of view, it would be better if this product came in a solution or gel. It can take a few days to have an effect, but once it does, it can also be difficult to stop this; a bit of trial and error required. Obviously, everyone's digestive system is different, but I hope that telling my experience, will help others to make the best of this product.

Great product
Great product! I was sooo backed up i looked pregnant and didn’t want to take stimulant laxatives again. After 1-2 days of taking this, it has made me go to the loo properly, no cramps, no pain and no rushes to the toilet and completely got rid of my bloating as well. (I struggle with bowel movements and don’t want to rely on harsh stimulant laxatives) Quick tip, it is more palatable in hot water and dissolves quicker. So easy to use.

Saved my ass!
These work really well. Never used anything like this before and was worried about them causing the opposite but they work exactly as intended.

slow — not for quick relief
I bought these for occasional constipation, but they don’t give quick results like you might expect. They can take up to two days to work and even then the relief is quite mild. You can double the dose if needed, as directed on the packaging. The taste is fine, and I’ve been told that quicker-acting laxatives can make the bowel lazy, whereas these don’t but they are definitely slow, so don’t expect an immediate result.

Good Stuff
This is very good stuff, but be cautious about heeding the instructions initially - it says take three a day, which you will probably find is too much. Try one a day instead. I experimented with it and have settled on 2-3 per week. It’s unlike purgative laxatives (e.g. bisacodyl [Dulcolax] or Pico Sulphate) - it doesn’t decide when you need to go, you decide.
