Really impressive!
When it comes to hardware wallets I have to admit I own multiple and while the Safepal X1 isn't my favorite it is definitely pretty close! Let's start off with the build quality. I would say it's excellent. It's very basic plastic but doesn't feel cheap by any means. It's small and it's light, again while not feeling cheap. The screen is small and very basic but does the trick. The buttons are clicky and big enough for even my fingers. All and all I think quality wise your getting more then what you pay for with this! Usability This device is perfect for what it does and what it does is help secure and manage your crypto assets. I really like air gapped wallets which this is not, this is Bluetooth. You really just can't deny how simple Bluetooth makes things though. The Safepal X1 instantly connects with your wallet, when your ready to perform a transaction, verifying the information from your wallet and approving on your device is nearly instantaneous. While not as secure as air gapped it's about as secure as most users will ever need! The fact that this little guy is shaped like a calculator with the buttons makes typing in your passcode and using T9 for your seed phrase fairly easy to accomplish. Way easier then let's say a tresure wallet. Like I said earlier, while the screen is small and basic. It's nicely backlit, easy to read and interact with and being basic makes it battery friendly! On that note. The battery The battery in this thing is microscopic. You'll notice it loosing battery while your setting it up at first. However it charges very quickly! After the initial set-up the battery holds a charge just fine in stand by. The device powers itself off when not in use. Most of the time you'll just be using the device to sign transactions so not much battery life will be used. While the battery is small, it's sufficient. Hardware wallets aren't going to be used on a daily bases or shouldn't be at least so I think it's fine as is. Firmware updates. From what I can tell Safepal regularly supports their devices via software updates. Looks like you get at least one update per month. Unfortunately the only way to update the device is connecting it to your computer via USB C, I don't love that but as long as your careful it should be fine. Safepal regularly seems to add assets, so you'll have to keep an eye out on the website to see if an update includes an asset you have been waiting for. Product support It's fantastic, I was surprised when I reached out to Safepal in regards to an asset that Safepal doesn't yet support. Amazingly I received a response from a human within a day or two, they even went the extra mile and reached out to the development team to ask for a time frame when the asset would be supported. So I would say support is fantastic! Lastly the Safepal app I would say the app is the weakest part of the device. Asset support is wide and maybe one of the best on the market. It's secure, allows you to set a password for security. Very easy to interact with and also allows you to swap and buy via moon pay. I did end up having to turn off notifications though, I was getting notifications about some nonsense, I can't remember. I don't want to be notified about anything with my hardware wallet, I don't want any attempt to be sold on anything at anytime. The app has one job, to securely let me manage my holdings. That's it! The app isn't bad by any means but it's far from the best in my opinion. All and all this an excellent hardware wallet! My personal favorite would still have to be tangem if I'm being honest. Still if you want something a little more complex then tangem since tangem cards don't have screens it's hard to beat this device. There are some other really, in my opinion over hyped options out there like keystone or ellipal that pull people in with fancy screens but in all reality that's super unnecessary. You interact with these devices probably just a few times or less a year so they just have to work, be well made and execute the task efficiently, this does that well. The only slight letdown is the app, I don't like receiving notifications from my wallet that aren't security or transaction related but even still it's a 5 star product! UPDATE I have now been using this wallet for going on a year and I'm happy to report it's been great! Every time I have had to power on the device it has had at least 3/4ths battery remaining. I only really power it on to check on it every few months and at that point I charge it again. At this point I have tried most hardware wallet available excluding Elipal and some of ledgers more premium options and what I have gathered is that most are highly overrated and that the Safepal X1 is severely underrated. It has just been by far one of the easiest wallets to use. Instant connection and nearly instant transaction signing all with excellent build quality. Remember what a hardware wallet is and what it does. A hardware wallet does not hold any assets it simply holds your seed phrase off the internet. Your actual assets never can, or will leave the block chain they are on. In my opinion this wallet makes managing your seed phrase and protecting your crypto easier then just about any other hardware wallet I have tried. That's why I no longer use any of those other hardware wallets except for this and Tangem and even Tangem does have drawbacks compared to this. This wallet deserves way more love!

Cute small and practical!
My only complaint is that it's not FULLY open source, but I understand for safety and security purposes that's inevitable. I like how small the device is, it fits in the condom pocket, and works so intuitively, If you've ever sent a text on a flip phone you'll find it's interface very familiar... And honestly I like how many buttons there are, and I hope I can learn to program something with them. The app is super friendly and even TEACHES me, as a user, to stay safe when signing contracts or trades. It's nice for the price, I just hope I can trust safepal in the future as they become more reputable and known.

Great Cold Storage, But iPhone Connectivity Needs Work
The SafePal X1 does a fantastic job at what it’s meant for—keeping cryptocurrency safe in cold storage. I really like how secure it feels for protecting my Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other tokens, and the Bluetooth feature is convenient in theory. For storing and managing assets securely, it works exactly as promised. However, if you’re an iPhone user, be prepared for some frustration. I’ve tried connecting it to both my iPhone 13 Pro and my iPhone 15 Pro Max, and in both cases I ran into repeated connection issues. Even after multiple attempts and resets, the connection is not smooth or reliable. If you’re on Android, this may be an excellent wallet. For iPhone users, though, I’d recommend keeping in mind the Bluetooth pairing struggles before buying.
