I bought these last month and wanted to use them for a while to make a fair assessment. I have always had GHD. My latest pair was the GHD Platinum + and they have been a nightmare, within the 3 year warranty they have been replaced 7 times because of the heating element issues they seem to suffer from. The latest pair broke and the warranty expired. I was reluctant to move from GHD despite knowing they aren't great quality I am a creature of habit. I decided to bite the bullet and get these. I have medium/thick hair that is wavy and I found these are perfect, they don't snag my hair and I am able to straighten at a lower temperature than GHD thanks to the adjustable settings. The really test came with my teenage daughters hair. She has very thick hair that can be very wirey at the root and very hard to straighten it takes forever and sometimes multiple passes. Well these straighteners are amazing. I use the highest setting for her and they straighten her hair amazingly. It also remains straighter for longer. I have also curled her hair with them and they give great results. For the money I am very impressed with the quality, build and performance. After a month of use I am a convert to Cloud Nine.

I have been looking for some quality straighteners that have a thermostat control. These work perfectly and I can protect my hair from heat damage by reducing the temperature. Easy to use and bought on offer in the Black Friday sale so great value for money too!

Glides through your hair effortlessly curls your hair very smoothly.. very pleased as it’s a lot cooler temperature than most straightener's which was one of the main reason I choose it for my hair!

Purchased these as a gift for my mother after her GHD’s literally burst into flames! She has treated her hair for years so her hair is quite damaged. Thanks to the technology Cloud 9 uses, her hair is so much healthier now and it straightens effortlessly without using multiple passes over the same area. They are a fairly big expense, but these have been used every day since Christmas and they still look and feel brand new. They have a nice weight to them too, they feel good to hold but not too heavy. I’ve even considered buying some wide ones for myself as I have very long bum length hair. I suffer from alopecia so I try to stay away from any heat in terms of my hair, but these are able to straighten at a fairly low temp in the grand scheme of things, so I really enjoyed having a go with them and they leave my hair feeling really soft.

The variable temperature on these straighteners make them suitable for both human hair and heat friendly/heat defiant wigs. I’ve used these on 2 brands of HF synthetic wigs over the past few months with zero problems. I tend to spray with water first to help create some steam and pay attention to the manufacturers heat guides. I originally looked for GHD straighteners but found the current ones too high temperature. I was worried about spoiling an expensive wig with these as didn’t know the brand but they’ve been perfect - I even took them to my hairdresser (wig trim) as hers are all GHD limited to 180*C which is fine for human hair but too high for synthetic hair.
