XCEED EX350GT 350W 25cm Grass Trimmer

Update 22/07: This has now been used several times since the original review and it's a functional, fully usable trimmer, nothing special. It's light enough for prolonged use, strong enough for use on a reasonable thickness of growth/grass etc. and it seems to be durable with the line not having broken very many times at all compared to the previous trimmer line. It's definitely a 3 star product, mid-range tool for a cheap to mid-range price, nothing exceptional about it, the edger would (should!) have been the USP at this price point.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Like a lot of the reviews of this product I too received a one that is not quite as described. I should note that I haven't actually used this yet but I ordered a version with an edger and like a lot of people have received a one that IS NOT an edging device. It looks like this company are only interested in selling a product that is cheap and, at the very least, is similar enough to what you have ordered that you will shrug your shoulders and decide to the keep the product anyway as it does the job. And, to be fair, they are correct!This product is cheap and seems to have a reasonable build quality to it and that the edge function (or lack thereof) is a side issue for most folks. As it is, my wife suggested that she didn't require the edger and therefore has decided to keep this but if it was up to me I would have liked to return it and buy from another company that may not be either as dishonest or as disorganized as this one would appear to be. Let's be clear here, It is either dishonesty or disorganization, as to make this same mistake as others have experienced would imply that this is not a one-off mistake.So, I will update this review once the trimmer has been tested for it's functionality but the the decision to go with a potentially dishonest or indeed a poorly organized company is entirely your own, I only hope that I do not have to rely on returning or refunding from them, although I've paid by CC so it may be an option.The usual delivery from Amazon was efficient if slow as they are trying to promote Prime by slowing down normal deliveries but nothing exciting to report here. I ordered the Xceed EX350GT during a dry spell. I eagerly awaited the next day delivery - having used Prime. True to their word it was deliver the very next day....It was then it begun, hours of rain turned into days. That was a week ago, the ears of wild barley and rapeseed wave tauntingly outside. So as you can see I can't speak for it's function, but assembly was very quick and easy; much like the rain. - Noah.

Bought this after my other one gave up the ghost in the middle of doing my mother's garden. Great value, easy reel feed and easy to use. I have used it several times now on two different gardens - one of which needs a lot of strimming and edging and it seems the reel is very strong and rarely snaps. I have had more expensive products and this one certainly matches them in performance and out does them on value. Would recommend!!

The cutting wire is tricky to take out and break easily. but the machine is light, easy to use and safe. For the price paid, is good value for money.

I bought this as our old strimmer while working, is so heavy. This worked well cutting a thick, foot high grass lawn in 15 mins. It is very light compared to other machines. It comes with a spare spool of line even though id ordered a spare as well so we have plenty of line .We did not need to change the spool so far as it didnt break once. Very pleased.

I needed a cheap strimmer to do small amounts before mowing the grass etc.It was fine for the money and comes with a spare spool of line

I am disabled so needed something light and easy to use.this strimmer fits this criteria,have used it twice now it's a good strimmer cuts well and extra handle means it's easy to direct too.the only fiddley thing is the line,it's difficult to get two lines out and hold in at same time ! Managed eventually though,good strimmer good price,very happy.

Easy to handle and a joy to work with, it made very short work of the grassed area at the side of my house. As good as any of the more expensive models and with more features than most. A bargain buy offering 'cutting edge' features at a very reasonable cost. \\i am well pleased with it.
