For those who are unfamiliar with xantham gum, it is the absolute best thickener available! SO much better than using flour or corn starch! It adds zero taste to whatever youโre making. Doesnโt take much to get a gravy, sauce, soup, etc., thicker. So even though if you add too much liquid and you canโt take it out, you can add xantham gum and, voile!, itโs all good!

Useful to have for Watercolor painting projects. I use an approx 1:4 ratio with distilled water, by visual volume, you may need to experiment a bit. Mixture has a light transparent umber hue, which is negligible in effect. Useful for reserving areas when creating washes and backgrounds and as a shiny glaze. Enjoy!
