Keeps drinks hot not reasonably well. Not put it in the dishwasher yet.Hss a screw lid with a lift up flap that clips to the lid , this is a weak point and i wouldnt trust it in a bag.The worst thing about the mug is drinking its very hard to drink from you can only get the smallest of sip out i use ot for hot drinks so I m not trying to gulp, this lets the mug down

This mug was good at first but the base split as shown here and in other reviewers' photos - I've even caught my finger on the sharp edges and cut myself. I was happy to receive a replacement but guess what? The base has split on this one too! It's a design flaw - probably made quite cheaply. I have since bought a better quality mug elsewhere that is made of one solid piece of steel rather than there being a separate base part stuck down. I also had an issue with the lid, worked at first but after a couple of weeks the lid catch would easily come up at the lightest of touches which was dangerous and disappointing.

I've been using this for a few days and it's fantastic! Over the years I've used quite a few brands, some over £20 for a travel mug.Most become difficult to clean, smelly and even leave a metallic taste to the drink.This is a very simple and elegant design... the stainless steel looks great and the top has a flip lid, which secures very well and a small recess and hole to drink from. The top also clips back onto the lid when you drink, stopping it from rocking forwards - simple and works.I've had tea and coffee in the mug and it has stayed piping hot for at least 4-5 hours. Just what I need it for.The screw top is secure and the mug is certainly leakproof. No mettalic taste at all when drinking.Most importantly there is not fancy parts or mechanisms to clean. Each area is simple to soap up and wash and it's dishwasher safe, but I've not tried that yet.All in all, don't hesitate to buy this one and it has a lifetime guarantee! The mug arrived a little dirty, but I was offered a free replacement if it didn't wash off - luckily it did, but it's nice to know a company who cares about their service and product.

I hoped this was going to be the ultimate travel mug. I can say it holds its heat.It is not easy to use the drink bit does not flow well.The worst bit of mug is that you can’t use it.The little rubber cap that plugs the hole does not come out when you push up the cap.If you try to take a quick swig when at traffic lights or traffic jam . You have to use both hands.All the other mugs I have you can flip the lid, take a mouthful and be back in holder in few seconds by time you have refitted rubber seal which is fidderly, it just takes too long

It keeps coffee nice and hot and feels really solid and leakproof, just a cautionary note: be careful if putting it in a bag that the flip lid doesn't catch on anything - it sticks out a little - because your coffee will go everywhere!

Sleek, practical, but note height. Four stars due to attention needed on the Achilles heal. My supplied rubber seal on the flap, had a tendency to be annoyingly left trapped on the main body cap resting hole when flap closed and reopened, needing fiddly removal and remounting. Luckily my spare one manufacturing tolerance seems to be better behaved so far, and remains on the flap. Hopefully it can be fixed by quality control or an improved holding design if necessary. The insulation is adequate for holding a hot liquid but has some practical limited time. Please note when sealing, do pay attention to gently starting and remaining squarely as you rotate and finish tightening. I also think it may be easier to do so whilst leaving the flap opened.

Really impressed with heat retention in drinks - very efficient; delighted that the whole thing can go into the dishwasher, not just the lid; absolutely leak-proof so far.4*instead of 5 as the price is high, although in this case it does seem the case that you are paying for quality. Also wish the flow of the drink was better - might have to enlarge the air inlet hole slightly and see how that works out.Overall, highly recommended - the best travel mug I've used so far.

very pleasently surprised when i tested this cup and believe me it does what it says on the box. i tested with a cold drink first.. i put cold flavoured water and 2 ice cubs into my cup put on the lid then my straw thro the hole on top mid morning. at about 6 pm it was still icy cold and a small piece of ice still there, i couldt believe it!!!!.. i am disabled and only drink fluids so it was very important to me that it did as the makers said it would do--- and it did.. i will try the hot coffee next ,but i am sure it will be okay..
